Overview
C4 Ventures is a leading European venture fund founded by Pascal Cagni (VP & GM Apple EMEIA 2000-2012). Based in Paris and London, they typically invest from Series A and onward in startups which are based in Europe and later stage startups seeking to expand into European markets. Their goal is to create a different kind of venture firm, one that focuses on partnering with entrepreneurs to navigate the complex European landscape. Both people and products drive their investments. They look for founding teams who are not afraid of challenging the status quo and want to revolutionise industries and practices — hence their explosive name. Their team has strong experience in product development, omni-channel/go-to-market strategy and scaling up businesses in Europe and globally. - Bedrock Robotics
Participated · Series B · Feb 2026
Founded in 2024 and based in San Francisco, Bedrock Robotics is building system-level autonomy for the construction industry by upgrading excavators, bulldozers, loaders and other heavy equipment with advanced vision and control software. Its flagship Bedrock Operator platform allows contractors to manage connected fleets that run longer, reduce idle time, and improve safety while addressing the sector’s acute labor shortage. After emerging from stealth in July 2025, the company completed a large-scale supervised autonomy deployment on a 130-acre manufacturing site and is now piloting with contractors across port infrastructure, industrial facilities, data centers and earth-moving projects. Bedrock plans to launch its first fully operator-less excavator deployments in 2026, marking a significant leap toward fully autonomous job sites. The firm recently strengthened its leadership team with executives from Meta’s AI safety group and Waymo’s engineering organization. Its rapid execution and capital efficiency have attracted top-tier investors and pushed its valuation to $1.75 billion. To date, Bedrock has secured more than $350 million in total funding to accelerate product development and large-scale roll-outs.
- Procure AI
Participated · Seed · Nov 2025
London-based Procure AI has built an end-to-end, AI-native procurement platform that overlays existing fragmented data systems rather than replacing them. The product uses more than 50 intelligent agents—autonomous, collaborative and ambient—to automate sourcing, contracting, purchasing and invoice management. Flagship modules such as Autonomous Spot-Buy and Tactical Sourcing have delivered 35–46 % time reductions and 3.7–5.2 % savings per event, while its Quote-to-Order Intake feature autonomously handles roughly 60 % of requests. Acting as a secure procurement data layer, the platform aims to provide measurable cost savings and rapid ROI for enterprises facing budget and headcount constraints. Co-founders Konstantin von Bueren and Yves Bauer emphasize the system’s ability to enrich existing data landscapes, positioning the company as a partner rather than a replacement vendor. Following its latest funding, Procure AI plans to scale its engineering team and bolster go-to-market efforts, expanding beyond its initial DACH focus into the UK, Nordics, Benelux and France. The recent $13 million seed round brings the company’s total disclosed funding to that amount and will finance these growth initiatives.
- Arago
Participated · Seed · Jul 2025
Arago is commercializing a light-powered photonic processor codenamed “JEF” that processes data using lasers instead of transistors. The chip is designed to deliver comparable performance to top GPUs while consuming roughly 10× less energy and maintaining comparable cost. Early results show JEF can run AI models from industry-standard software frameworks and remains compatible with existing AI ecosystems, compute infrastructure, and manufacturing processes. The architecture is presented as a hybrid approach that sidesteps historical technical barriers for photonic and GPU-alternative processors. Founded less than a year ago by Nicolas Muller, Eliott Sarrey and Ambroise Müller, Arago has assembled a lean team of about 20 experts from leading tech companies and research labs. The company plans to use its funding to accelerate product development for commercialisation, expand the team across multiple development sites, and deepen business partnerships.
- NEURA Robotics
Participated · Series B · Jan 2025
Founded in 2019 by David Reger in Metzingen, Germany, NEURA Robotics builds ‘cognitive’ robots that can see, hear, sense their surroundings and learn from experience. The company integrates sensors, AI software and robotic hardware into single devices, likening its machines to a “smartphone with arms and legs.” In addition to hardware, it offers the Neuraverse software platform, which enables the safe deployment and interaction of intelligent robots with humans. NEURA serves both industrial and consumer markets and has disclosed nearly $1 billion worth of purchase orders from customers such as Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Omron. Management is focused on accelerating humanoid robot development and scaling production capacity. Financially, the firm previously secured €120 million in January 2025 and is now pursuing a much larger raise to fund expansion. If successful, the new round could push the company’s valuation to approximately €4 billion.
- Jus Mundi
Participated · Series B · Sep 2024
Jus Mundi operates a unique law and arbitration database and has launched Jus AI, a multilingual research and productivity assistant for global legal professionals. Jus AI provides natural-language answers with cited sources and tools for document summarization, translation, drafting, and analysis of uploaded documents. The product leverages Jus Connect’s thousands of data-backed profiles and over 70 partnerships with legal institutions to fuel its research, drafting and translation capabilities. More than 20 clients participated in an exclusive Jus AI pilot program and reported a doubling of productivity across research, analysis, drafting and translation tasks. The company emphasizes strict confidentiality for users’ insights and professional-grade legal search across jurisdictions. Funding will support R&D to further develop its AI and expand beyond the 80 countries in which Jus Mundi currently operates. Jus Mundi has built a proprietary search engine that collects and structures international arbitration awards, treaties and related legal data and applies advanced machine learning to handle multilingual, complex datasets. The product is already used by several governments and many top law firms, including DLA Piper, Clifford Chance, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Eversheds Sutherland. Jus Mundi has also signed a distribution partnership with academic publisher Brill | Nijhoff for its academic research service, which is used by universities such as Paris La Sorbonne, Harvard Law School and Kyoto University. The company was founded in late 2018 by five engineers and lawyer Jean-Rémi de Maistre and is based in Paris. To support growth, Jus Mundi closed a €1 million seed round from international angel investors and aims to become the global leading resource for international law and arbitration research before expanding into other fields of law.
