- Dinie
Participated · Equity · Jul 2021
Dinie builds embedded lending infrastructure that is integrated into platforms used by micro and small businesses, enabling contextual credit distribution and digital account limits for working capital and daily expenses. The platform leverages transactional data from partner ecosystems to underwrite and underwrite and monitor revolving credit, adjust credit lines, and approve new draws with minimal paperwork. Dinie targets a large underserved market in Brazil—the article cites more than 17 million MPEs and a financing gap of roughly US$480 billion—and specifically focuses on fast-growing channels such as e-commerce. The company emphasizes embedding financial products into merchant journeys so banks become invisible to the user while offering lower-cost, tailored credit. Operationally, Dinie is led by founder and CEO Suzy Ferreira and cofounder/CFO Vinícius Cibim. Financially, the startup closed a US$3.8M venture funding round and also completed a securitization that provides about US$20M of debt financing capacity in partnership with Empírica Investimentos (which manages roughly US$1B).
