    Participated · Seed · Jun 2025

Spekter Games publishes high‑quality, roguelite mobile games augmented with passive Web3 incentives designed to avoid disrupting core gameplay. Its debut title, Spekter Agency, is a rogue‑lite action game launching on Telegram’s Mini Apps, leveraging Telegram’s built‑in wallet and 1B+ monthly active users for frictionless onboarding. The studio emphasizes traditional free‑to‑play monetization (IAP) while layering passive blockchain rewards to boost retention, virality, and loyalty. The company plans to scale Spekter Agency to other chat‑based super apps and traditional mobile stores such as the App Store and Google Play. Capital from the recent raise will also fund development of a second game already underway. • Talofa

    Led · Seed · Jan 2024

Talofa Games is a San Francisco-based gaming studio developing social fitness games. Led by CEO and founder Jenny Xu, the company is building Run Legends, a cooperative fitness game that users can play synchronously with friends worldwide. In Run Legends, player movement controls the character: users head outside and unleash skills in battle by moving faster and slower. The game is currently available for free on iOS and Android. Talofa raised $6.3M in Seed funding and intends to use the proceeds to expand operations and its development efforts. The seed round included participation from strategic venture investors.

  • OneRoof

    Led · Seed · Jan 2023

OneRoof is a hyperlocal social network app that helps people living in the same apartment building connect around shared interests, organize in-person events, and exchange goods and information. The free, pre-revenue product relies on volunteer “Super Neighbors” to seed and moderate building communities and offers features including improved user profiles, a neighbor directory, event hosting, and a “grow” tool for creating communities. Since 2021 OneRoof expanded from 400 buildings to over 1,300 buildings with more than 40,000 active neighbors across New York City and Miami, and it has done a soft launch in Dallas. Engagement metrics show strong retention in Super Neighbor buildings—over 78% at 12 weeks and over 65% at 24 weeks—and a 20% month-over-month user increase, plus three times more in-person events in Q4 versus the prior quarter. The company has been scaling its team (adding four hires and recruiting two more) while remaining pre-revenue and plans to invest new capital into app development, software, sponsorships and marketing. CEO Selin Sonmez and co-founder Nikos Georgantas are focused on growing product adoption to reach more urban neighbors and build more resilient local communities. OneRoof builds a social network focused on residents of individual multi-unit buildings, offering Slack-like messaging hubs and topic-based sub-communities to help neighbors communicate and organize. The app emphasizes smaller, tighter-knit building communities rather than ZIP-code or neighborhood-level networks. It relies on volunteer "super neighbors" for onboarding and uses proprietary join codes, fliers and door hangers to enroll residents. OneRoof is live in around 400 buildings in New York City and plans to expand to Boston, Miami and Los Angeles. The company deliberately avoids deep partnerships with building management, citing past failures of manager-moderated groups. It raised a $1.25M seed to carry out this vision.

  • WorkWhile

    Participated · Series A · Feb 2022

WorkWhile is an AI-powered staffing platform that matches businesses with vetted, reliable hourly workers across industries such as logistics, event services, food production, and hospitality. The company uses machine learning to enhance worker productivity, satisfaction, and financial health and to enable scalable staffing based on demand and seasonality. It matches roles like warehouse associates, delivery drivers, and cooks and provides comprehensive staffing services including scheduling, payroll, and performance analytics. Based in San Francisco, WorkWhile raised $23.0M in a Series B in June 2025. The company will use the funds to accelerate growth, support new hires and double its headcount while expanding its AI-driven platform that connects businesses with reliable hourly workers. WorkWhile is an hourly-work marketplace that connects workers to open shifts and offers benefits including next-day pay, telehealth services, and pay transparency. Founded in 2019 by Jarah Euston and Amol Jain and based in the San Francisco Bay Area, the company is live in 13 markets including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Northern New Jersey, Seattle, Houston and the NYC metro. The platform does not charge workers; it generates revenue by charging employers a percentage fee based on the rate paid to the worker. WorkWhile emphasizes schedule predictability and worker stability, using onboarding orientations and a behavioral test to build profiles and signal reliability. Operational metrics cited include a 5% no-show rate, 76% accuracy predicting shift attendance, 80% of users seeking more than 30 hours per week (60% seek 40+ hours), and about 28% of users owning crypto; the company says 80% of optional survey respondents identify as POC. Future product ideas include prioritizing higher-rated workers for new shifts and adding supports such as carpool options for workers predicted to have trouble reaching job sites. WorkWhile operates a marketplace that lets employers post open shifts and hourly workers claim the hours they want, aiming to reduce turnover and absenteeism. The platform screens applicants via one-on-one interviews, background checks and cognitive-science-based tests to identify reliable workers. Employers pay a service fee while the platform is free for workers. The company plans to provide worker benefits, beginning with sick-leave credits earned when employees work and next-day debit‑card payments. WorkWhile has launched in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Orange County and Dallas–Fort Worth and counts customers such as Cheetah, Thistle and Ansel & Ivy. The startup has raised seed funding to support growth and operations.
