- Build on Bitcoin
Participated · Seed · Mar 2024
Build on Bitcoin (BOB) is creating a technology stack that makes Bitcoin-based DeFi possible, positioning itself as the “Gateway to Bitcoin DeFi.” Its core product is the first hybrid zero-knowledge (ZK) rollup designed for Bitcoin, which the team has already brought to testnet. BOB has also launched a BitVM bridge in collaboration with institutional partners and introduced the first Bitcoin intents system that offers one-click BTC access across major chains. The project plans an imminent token generation event (TGE) and a full transition to community governance, reflecting its goal of decentralized ownership. To date, BOB has secured more than $25 million in funding, comprising $21 million from seed and strategic rounds plus a recently completed community sale. This capital is being used to refine its rollup technology, expand cross-chain connectivity, and onboard users and developers into Bitcoin-based DeFi.
- Qureight
Led · Seed · Sep 2020
Qureight provides two integrated products for pharmaceutical clinical trials: Workflow, which speeds imaging decision turnaround from about two weeks to 48 hours, and AI Lung, which constructs detailed models of airways and blood vessels from chest scans. The company has built a general-purpose foundation model of the chest that enables development of disease-specific deep learning models in one to two months. Qureight is running global clinical trials with partners including AstraZeneca, Bristol Myers Squibb, and several biotech firms. Founded in 2018, the company combines clinical leadership—co-founder and CEO Dr Muhunthan Thillai continues clinical work—with a senior technical team recruited from industry and academia. Financially, Qureight has raised a £1.5 million seed in 2022 and the recent $20 million Series B to support lab build-out, therapeutic-area expansion, and headcount growth.
