Overview

Copper Wire Ventures is dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs find early-stage capital and strategic advice for their companies and technology-driven products or services. We primarily invest in the future of learning, but will consider investments in crossover technology sectors as well. We are committed to supporting entrepreneurs from the start — often coming in as the first investor in a new idea or product launch — and sticking with them as they follow through and bring on new investors. Please get in touch if you are looking to break down the walls of traditional education and venture investment in women-led companies.

  • Kinspire

    Participated · Seed · Jan 2023

Kinspire provides virtual pediatric occupational therapy, combining one live monthly session with a therapist, unlimited messaging, and a library of activities and trainings for parents and caregivers. The company was founded in 2020 by Robert Seigel and his sister, pediatric occupational therapist Lily Baiser, after testing a parent-supported care model with Seigel's son. Memberships cost $199 per month and include one live session; additional visits can be scheduled for $59 each. Kinspire emphasizes involving parents and caregivers between sessions to accelerate progress and fill gaps in traditional care. Services are not currently covered by insurers, though families can submit individual sessions for reimbursement; the company is focused on getting insurers to pay for its care. Management says the seed raise provided two years of cash and that the company is prioritizing sustainable growth and product focus rather than rapid expansion.

The app personalizes task lists and provides step-by-step lessons explaining adult tasks in simple terms, plus timely reminders to keep members on track. Founded by CEO Genevieve Bellaire, the company positions itself as a one-stop-shop to navigate adulthood for the next generation of consumers. Realworld plans to launch its first mobile app next month and aims to evolve into a platform, marketplace, and community where users can access services and peer advice.
