Platform Science offers the Virtual Vehicle, an application platform that runs natively on commercial vehicles to unlock onboard signals without aftermarket hardware. The platform is deployed by large fleets and integrates telematics providers, third-party developers, OEMs, shippers, and fleets. Platform Science says Virtual Vehicle was developed in collaboration with Daimler Truck North America, Navistar, PACCAR, and other OEMs to provide a flexible, open software platform. The company reports the platform has generated over a trillion data points across 6 billion miles logged and results in 15 billion API calls annually. Platform Science plans to use the new capital to accelerate innovation and expand its application ecosystem for drivers and fleets. The company is based in San Diego. Platform Science builds a unified, user-friendly technology platform for enterprise fleets to develop, deploy and manage mobile devices and applications on commercial vehicles. Its Virtual Vehicle technology creates a standardized telematics operating system and application store for trucks. The company’s platform gives fleets access to software solutions, real-time vehicle data and third-party applications directly from vehicles. Platform Science says the integrated environment simplifies vehicle IT by reducing the number of telecommunications devices required on vehicles. Factory installation of the integrated solution is intended to eliminate aftermarket installs and increase customers’ productivity and uptime. Platform Science is collaborating with PACCAR to integrate Virtual Vehicle with PACCAR Connect and bring these capabilities to commercial trucks. Platform Science, led by co-founder and CEO Jack Kennedy, provides a transportation technology platform for enterprises and fleets to develop, deploy, and manage mobile devices and applications on commercial vehicles. The company recently launched Virtual Vehicle in collaboration with Daimler Truck North America, an open OEM platform that gives fleets access to telematics, software solutions, real-time vehicle data, and third-party applications directly from vehicles. Platform Science works with carriers including Schneider National, Werner Enterprises, and U.S. Xpress, and partners with technology providers such as Drivewyze, Samsung, and Great Dane. The firm intends to use the new funding to expand the reach of its transportation solutions and simplify how fleets develop, deploy, and manage mobile devices and applications. H2 MOBILITY operates hydrogen refueling stations for road mobility and is described as the leader in Germany. The company has more than 90 stations in operation and aims to expand its network to 300 stations by 2030. H2 MOBILITY recently completed a financing round that raised €10 million. The round included participation from VINCI Concessions and the Clean H2 Infra Fund, which is managed by Hy24. VINCI Concessions has indicated it will support H2 MOBILITY's development ambitions through its subsidiary VINCI Highways. The transaction coincided with the closing of the Clean H2 Infra Fund, in which the VINCI group is a key industrial investor. H2 Mobility develops and runs a network of hydrogen filling stations to serve fuel-cell passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and increasingly trucks and buses. The company operates over 90 stations and has previously set up more than 50 hydrogen filling sites. It raised €110 million to upgrade existing stations and build new, higher-capacity stations to meet growing demand from commercial and intensive-use vehicles. Planned upgrades will expand more than 200 filling stations into large-scale facilities and target several highly frequented traffic corridors across Europe. H2 Mobility positions itself as a key player in the EU mobility transition and supports implementation of the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR). Company leadership highlights preparing stations for the expected ramp-up of intensive-use vehicles from automakers.

ChargePoint has been working since 2007 and is headquartered in Campbell, Calif., and says it has more than a decade of category leadership. The company announced it closed $127 million in incremental equity financing. It plans to use the funds to expand its commercial and fleet portfolio in North America and Europe and to scale policy, marketing and sales efforts. ChargePoint builds hardware and software for every electric vehicle charging use case and operates a network of independently owned public and semi-public chargers. Its network now contains more than 57,000 charging spots. The company has raised more than $500 million to build out its network, including a $125 million Series G last year that funded expansion into Europe. ChargePoint is preparing for a large increase in electric vehicles over the next four years as automakers ramp EV production. The company plans to use new capital to expand its charging network in Europe and North America, broaden options for fleets, and improve the driver experience. Planned product improvements include integrations such as Amazon Alexa and Tap to Charge for phone-initiated charging. ChargePoint operates one of the world's largest electric vehicle (EV) charging networks and designs, develops, and manufactures hardware and software solutions for home, work, public and on‑road charging. The company offers products and services for passenger cars, electric buses and trucks and provides station owners remote monitoring, detailed analytics and energy-usage reporting. ChargePoint reports more than 37,800 independently owned charging spots, over 7,000 customers and drivers have completed more than 25 million charging sessions, saving roughly 25 million gallons of gasoline and driving over 603 million gas-free miles. The financing is intended to accelerate ChargePoint’s ability to capitalize on its North American position and replicate it in other markets around the world, per Michael Linse. ChargePoint’s mission is to ease range anxiety and support broader EV adoption as global plug-in vehicle sales have grown rapidly.
