  Exasun develops and produces high-quality building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roof systems, including glass-glass panels and products branded X-Roof and X-Tile. Its panels are manufactured on its own production line in The Hague, with special-dimension modules and patented color technology for seamless integration. The company says its in-roof systems generate more energy than conventional on-roof systems, are quick to install, and over a thousand households have its systems installed. Founded in 2012 by Michiel Mensink and Jan Jaap van Os, Exasun developed its advanced production line with suppliers, knowledge institutions, and Dutch machine builders. It has a strategic partnership with Wienerberger, which manages European sales and distribution, enabling expansion beyond the Netherlands. Exasun raised €9M to build a new PV assembly line at its Hague site and to fund further international expansion.
