NEMA HEALTH develops Onconeovac, a personalized immunotherapy that combines tumor neoantigens with patented DIF immunostimulatory peptides. The program is currently focused on advanced/metastatic melanoma and aims to be used in combination with other therapies; preclinical animal studies showed tumor prevention and growth reduction comparable to anti‑PD1 and up to fourfold greater reduction when combined with anti‑PD1. The company intends to accelerate preclinical development and investigate applications in other solid tumors and in veterinary oncology. NEMA HEALTH originated as a spin-off from VHIR and the University of Lleida through The Collider program. The recent seed raise and NEOTEC grant are being used to scale peptide manufacturing capacity via BCN Peptides and to professionalize the company’s structure, including the formation of a new board of directors.

Hair Up Laser designs and develops a medical device that uses photobiomodulation to curb the effects of androgenic alopecia, the most common form of hair loss in both men and women. The company positions its technology as a non-invasive alternative aimed at restoring patients’ hair and self-esteem, with particular emphasis on the emotional impact of alopecia on women. Fresh capital will finance a clinical trial at Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona and complete regulatory work to meet European medical-device standards. The trial already has ethics-committee approval and is awaiting authorization from the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices, with completion targeted for the first half of 2026. Upon successful trials, Hair Up Laser intends to secure CE marking and launch the device across Europe. The startup operates in a global hair-loss treatment market estimated at $10 billion annually, where 2.2 million people seek surgical or non-surgical solutions each year. The recent €880 k fundraise combines private investment and public support to advance the company toward commercialization.

Lawwwing is an online legal-tech platform that helps websites comply with regulations through automated, continuous tools supported by a team of specialized lawyers. The platform offers a plug-and-play widget and other integrations to ensure regulatory compliance for site owners. Lawwwing reports more than 600 active subscriptions and over 15,000,000 monthly activations of its widget. The company plans to prioritize internationalization across the European Union and to enter the Latin American market in 2025. It intends to boost sales by expanding its commercial team, activating new sales channels (including Shopify and PrestaShop), and developing an API for integrations with providers and domains. Lawwwing is also preparing platform functionality to help clients and partner agencies comply with the forthcoming EU Artificial Intelligence Regulation. The product roadmap includes new features aimed at increasing customer engagement and per-customer profitability.

Apartool operates an online booking platform focused on corporate housing, offering businesses and travel agencies real-time access to more than 300,000 fully-serviced apartments across 85 countries. The company combines an expert reservations team with proprietary software, and is now investing in artificial-intelligence tools to automate apartment onboarding, deliver full inventory visibility, and cut booking times by up to 90%. From 2019–2024, Apartool achieved a 69% CAGR in revenue and handled marquee projects such as housing Emirates Team New Zealand for the America’s Cup and supporting the Paris 2024 Olympics. Management expects these efficiency gains to support international expansion and reach €30 million in annual revenue by 2028. More than half of Spain’s IBEX-35 firms and over 350 travel, relocation, and media production agencies already use the service. The company has earned accolades including Esade Alumni’s “Startup of the Year 2024” and a recurring spot on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Spain list. Apartool positions itself as the leading corporate-housing provider in Southern Europe with a scalable, tech-enabled model.

The Smart Lollipop is a Catalan/Spanish health tech that makes a candy-shaped medical device which analyses saliva to detect disease and replace invasive blood tests. The device is aimed at speeding up medical diagnosis in children by making testing accessible, fun and digital, and can also monitor medical indicators in adults. The company says the candy can help detect conditions such as hypercholesterolemia and celiac disease from saliva samples in the paediatric sector. It plans to begin clinical testing and pursue medical certifications to deploy the device in hospitals and clinical settings. The Smart Lollipop participated in the ISDI Accelerator and UNICEF Lab initiative, which supported development of its prototype and early clinical studies. Financially, the company has just raised €320,000 to start clinical testing and certification processes.
