  • Motoreto

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2023

Motoreto offers an all-in-one technological platform that digitalizes retail processes for used-vehicle dealers and distributors, enabling 100% online sales. The company reports it helps dealers multiply access to stock by 10, reduce fixed costs by 30%, and be 15 times more efficient through digitalization. Motoreto has rolled out into Italy and France, aggregating more than 900 and 400 dealerships respectively, and now manages over 3,000 points of sale on its platform. In 2022 the company recorded revenue above €12 million and growth close to 300%. The funds from the recent round are intended to continue developing the platform and to consolidate its position in Spain while accelerating expansion into other European markets. Motoreto has also been noted for its sustainability focus and was recently awarded a ‘Great Place to Work’ certification. Motoreto operates in the used-vehicle (vehículos de ocasión) sector and works with a network of 3,000 dealerships across Spain, Italy and France. The article describes the company as part of First Drop VC's initial accelerator investments. Motoreto received a €150,000 injection from First Drop VC in an acceleration/venture capital operation. The funding is reported alongside investments in three other startups (Colibid, Banbu and ReHand). The article does not provide details on revenue, users, founding year or specific future product plans. Location information in the report lists Valencia. Motoreto operates a digital marketplace for used vehicles where users specify preferences and up to three dealerships contact them with matching stock. The platform lets consumers compare offers remotely and provides services like dealer appointments, vehicle appraisals, insurance and financing options. Dealers receive pre-selected potential customers, reducing time and acquisition costs. Motoreto has expanded beyond the Spanish market and maintains a broad inventory of dealership cars. The company closed a €200,000 financing round and plans to use the funds to execute a national consolidation plan and reinforce its international expansion strategy. Motoreto is based in Madrid.

The stated growth plan is to reach €700–740K in revenue in Q1 2024 with monthly profits of €100–140K, after which the company will expand nationally to Sevilla, Málaga, Valencia, Zaragoza, Alicante and Valladolid.
