- NoPalm-Ingredients
Participated · Seed · Jul 2024
NoPalm Ingredients produces yeast oils using a fermentation process with non‑GMO proprietary yeasts and a patented low‑capex technology that converts upcycled, locally sourced agri‑food sidestreams (e.g., potato peels, whey permeate) into oil. The company has developed an in‑house pilot line that produces kilograms of oil per batch and has completed pilot projects with partners including Colgate‑Palmolive, Unilever, and Zeelandia. Founded in 2021 in Wageningen, the Netherlands, NoPalm aims to offer a local, circular, and sustainable alternative to conventional palm oil. After a 2022 pre‑seed round, the company has progressed to commercial pilot activity and partner validation of oil quality. The recently raised capital will be used to accelerate its mission and scale its pilot capabilities toward broader commercialisation.

Cargoroo says its user base has grown threefold over the past year and that together these users covered a distance of over 1,500,000M kilometres. The company plans to introduce a subscription model to better serve customers, reward loyalty, and encourage off-peak usage. Cargoroo is present in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Den Haag, Arnhem, Nijmegen, Antwerpen, Leuven, Mechelen, Manchester, Berlin, and Eindhoven and recently raised funds to support further expansion. Cargoroo operates a shared electric cargo-bike service aimed at urban neighbourhoods and shopping streets. The company is based in Amsterdam and is led by CEO Erik de Winter. Its service is available in multiple Dutch cities including Eindhoven, Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague, Nijmegen, and Arnhem, as well as Antwerp in Belgium and Berlin in Germany, with plans to enter Lyon, France. Cargoroo offers on-street shared electric cargo bikes for local trips and deliveries. The company raised €10m in funding to support expansion.
