Boston Materials is a materials-science company focused on solving thermal bottlenecks in advanced semiconductor packaging with its patented Z-axis Carbon Fiber™ architecture and proprietary liquid-metal alloys. Its flagship product line, Liquid Metal ZRT®, has already reached the market with the first-generation LMZ1100, which the company claims provides more than a 10 °C cooling improvement for kilowatt-scale, liquid-cooled accelerators while maintaining compatibility with high-volume manufacturing. SurvivorNet is a New York City–based media company focused on providing cancer information for patients. Launched 18 months ago by CEO Steve Alperin, the site publishes content and information sourced from top oncologists. Dozens of leading comprehensive cancer centers, including MD Anderson, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Cleveland Clinic, The Mayo Clinic, Stanford and Cedars‑Sinai, have contributed to the platform. The site attracts about 1.5 million unique visitors per month. SurvivorNet raised $10M in a Series B and has $15M in total outside funding to date. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand its coverage across various types of cancer.
