  • Efficient Capital Labs

    Participated · Series A · Aug 2024

Efficient Capital Labs provides revenue-based, non-dilutive financing to B2B SaaS companies that operate across the South Asia–U.S. corridor, evaluating revenue across geographies rather than locally. The firm deploys capital from its own balance sheet and offers loans in USD and INR, with plans to add Singapore-dollar loans by the end of 2024. ECL has originated more than $70 million in financing and tripled to serve over 100 companies from Q1 2023 to Q2 2024. Its accounts receivable outstanding grew sixfold from 2022 to 2023 and doubled again in the first half of 2024, supported by default rates reported as well below industry standards and a 70% repeat financing rate. The company plans expansion into Singapore and other Southeast Asia markets and expects headcount to grow from 25 employees to 30–35 by year-end, hiring for commercial and engineering roles. ECL was co-founded in 2022 and is headquartered in New York. Efficient Capital Labs is a New York–headquartered fintech founded in 2022 that provides 100% non-dilutive, revenue-based financing to B2B SaaS companies operating in the South Asia–U.S. corridor. It advances a percentage of customers' ARR as upfront capital and funds customers through its own balance sheet to offer lower cost and greater predictability than marketplace or investor-dependent solutions. Since starting lending operations in June 2022, ECL has provided funding to more than 50 SaaS businesses and expects to serve over 150 customers by the end of 2023. The company will use the new capital to invest in greater automation and expand its engineering, product, underwriting, sales and operations teams to achieve better unit economics. ECL’s value proposition emphasizes enabling border-agnostic access to capital for companies that earn U.S. revenues while maintaining significant technology and operations in South Asia. Total capital raised to date includes both equity and debt components.

  • NG.CASH

    Participated · Series A · May 2024

NG.CASH is a consumer fintech platform built to serve Brazil’s digital-first generation, offering a comprehensive suite of fintech products. Originally launched as a real-time payments platform, NG.CASH now offers prepaid cards, device insurance, context-based installment plans, and a conversational AI interface, many of which are bundled under a core subscription. The company reports over three million active accounts. With the new capital, NG.CASH plans to accelerate development and expansion of payments products, including regulated stablecoin accounts and context-driven underwriting to support users’ long-term financial goals. The founding team previously built Trampolin, a Banking-as-a-Service startup acquired by StoneCo, and continues to leverage a creator ecosystem to drive marketing reach. The Series B proceeds will support product expansion and continued user growth. NG.CASH builds financial products and education aimed at Generation Z users (majority aged 14–17), offering prepaid cards, Pix, cryptocurrency investing, gamified learning and a savings feature called “cofrinho.” The company says it has transacted R$2 billion to date and will expand its product portfolio to include a postpaid credit card planned for launch this year, plus additional investment products. It plans to roll out an AI Power bot this month to act as a personalized financial assistant and enable transactions via WhatsApp. NG.CASH emphasizes direct engagement with adolescents through gamification and behavioral data to promote financial education and responsible money use. Founded in Rio de Janeiro, the startup opened an office in São Paulo this year and will use funds to grow the team from 65 to 110 employees, prioritizing hires in technology and product.
