The company aims to expand into private‑sector farmland matching and decarbonization businesses while accelerating hiring for product engineering and research & development. Proceeds from the recent fundraise will be used to develop decarbonization products, strengthen engineering and R&D teams, and build a global organizational structure. Sagri was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Tamba, Hyogo; it maintains local entities in Singapore and India and runs pilots and deployments across India, Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania, Peru and Brazil. The company positions its technology as a tool to advance sustainable agriculture and greenhouse‑gas emissions reductions through improved farm management.

    Nexta offers SmartF, a cloud-based core business system that standardizes common manufacturing processes and can be introduced without any customization, targeting the large population of small- and medium-sized manufacturers in Japan. The platform covers all industries and combines deployment support to encourage on-site adoption, avoiding costly scratch builds or heavy customization. The company plans to evolve SmartF into an all-in-one system by adding sales management and SFA functions and will roll out three AI agents this year and a total of twenty manufacturing-specific AI agents within two years. Through a new capital and business alliance, Ricoh Japan will handle nationwide sales, implementation, and post-deployment support using its 341 locations and customer base of more than one million companies. Over roughly the past 2.5 years, Nexta has grown its headcount from 20 to 120 and increased average monthly revenue more than sevenfold. The firm estimates its total addressable market for manufacturing DX at about ¥1.8 trillion. Proceeds from the latest financing will strengthen product development and expand hiring and organizational capabilities.

    Quipper is a London-based learning platform that provides a cloud-based web platform enabling users to create educational content and monitor performance. Its flagship product, Quipper School, allows teachers to set class assignments directly to students’ computers and mobile devices and to assess student performance with analytics. The company is led by Masa Watanabe. Quipper raised $5.8M in funding from investors including Atomico, Benesse Holdings and Globis Capital Partners. It intends to use the funds to continue improving its mobile learning platforms and to expand globally. The company has been working with Japanese publisher Benesse to develop a tablet-based learning service trial. Quipper offers a Q&A-style e-learning app and web platform that teaches through short question-and-answer interactions and lets users create their own quiz programmes. The product targets learners as well as teachers, parents and professional training companies. It is available on the web and on Apple iOS and Android. Since launching in October last year the company reports 1.7 million users who have answered questions 85 million times across 2,000 topics. The company was founded by Masa Watanabe, a co-founder of Japanese mobile social gaming company DeNA. Quipper says the new funding will be used to expand the service with an emphasis on increasing the amount of content on the platform.
