Founded in 2020, New-York-based TULU installs plug-and-play, IoT-enabled cabinets in multifamily buildings that dispense items such as vacuums, VR headsets, e-scooters, projectors, and household essentials. Residents reserve and pay through the TULU app, while the company’s proprietary “TULU Brain” analyzes real-time usage data to personalize offers and supply landlords and brand partners with consumer insights. The platform is active in more than 60 cities across North America and Europe and has served over 500,000 residents to date. Major property owners including Greystar, Brookfield, and Blackstone deploy TULU to boost leasing performance and retention, while brands like Bosch and Philips use it to reach Gen Z and millennial consumers and advance circularity initiatives. Revenue details were not disclosed, but management highlights “exceptional unit economics” and “impressive revenue momentum.” The company plans to use new capital to accelerate global expansion, deploy thousands of additional in-building touchpoints, and further develop its AI capabilities. Across its Seed and Series A rounds, TULU has raised a total of $42 million.

Miru Smart Technologies is a Vancouver, BC, Canada–based developer of electrochromic windows (eWindows) targeting automotive, architectural, marine, and aviation verticals. The company’s core product includes dynamic glass solutions such as eWindows and dynamic glass roofs for automobiles. Miru aims to bring 10 million square feet of eWindows to market by 2028. The business plans to use new capital to accelerate investment into dynamic glass roofs for automobiles and to build new pilot lines in North America and Europe. The funds will support production capacity expansion to service automotive and architectural markets. Curtis Berlinguette serves as CEO, and Vivian Kan and Kieron Hayes joined the board effective April 2024. Miru Smart Technologies is developing next-generation electrochromic smart-glass windows that automatically tint to control light and heat. The company says its windows can improve a building's energy efficiency by about 20%, reducing greenhouse-gas emissions from heating and cooling. With a $1 million contribution from the Province of British Columbia’s Innovative Clean Energy (ICE) Fund, Miru will develop product materials, refine the manufacturing process and build a pre-commercial smart-window manufacturing facility to produce commercial-sized windows for demonstration. The project will enable integration with a local glass manufacturer and demonstrate the manufacturing resources needed to scale and commercialize the technology. Miru plans to license the technology to Canadian and international manufacturers after demonstrating the process at the new facility. The company is headquartered in Vancouver and is led by CEO Curtis Berlinguette.

Evercloak develops a refrigerant-free building dehumidification system based on a proprietary graphene-oxide composite membrane that lets water vapour pass while blocking air. The membrane separates dehumidification from cooling, reducing the energy required to dehumidify and subsequently cool air; the company says this can improve building cooling efficiency by up to 50%. Evercloak is scaling membrane production and building an advanced dehumidification prototype as part of a NYSERDA-funded pilot, with an initial US$350,000 award and a potential US$1.15M extension for full-scale development and demonstration. The company estimates its technology could reduce emissions in the State's building sector by 40%, cut peak energy consumption by 25%, and eliminate two‑to‑five megatonnes of CO2 equivalents per year. Evercloak is actively partnering with HVAC manufacturers to rapidly deploy its systems globally and aims to commercialize the technology through demonstrations in New York City buildings. The company frames its product as a market-first building dehumidification technology to improve indoor comfort while lowering greenhouse-gas emissions. Evercloak develops graphene-composite membranes and a patented manufacturing process for continuous single-layer nanomaterial coatings aimed at membrane-based dehumidification. Its HVAC solution radically reduces the electricity needed to dehumidify air, which the company says can cut air-conditioning energy demands in half. Field trials of two demonstration units in summer 2023 demonstrated performance, and the company is preparing to bring the solution to market. With an oversubscribed $2M seed round, Evercloak plans to scale up membrane manufacturing and strengthen its commercial team. The firm positions its technology as a critical efficiency lever amid rising cooling demand and international pledges to reduce emissions from cooling systems. Based in Waterloo, Ontario, Evercloak says its nano-coating manufacturing approach can also be applied to energy storage, water desalination and other industrial processes.
