  • Soocas

    Participated · Series C · Feb 2019

Soocas is a Shenzhen-based maker of electric toothbrushes and other personal-care appliances. The company is known for budget-priced oral-care products and has expanded into hair dryers, nasal trimmers and similar tools. Soocas says it has been profitable since launch and that its margins have increased over time. It benefits from a tie-up with Xiaomi, which provides wide online and offline distribution reach but can impose thin margins. The electric-toothbrush category is growing rapidly in China, and Soocas faces competition from peers such as Usmile and Roaman as well as multinational incumbents.

  • iKongJian

    Led · Series B · Dec 2015

Ai Kongjian’s core product is standardized renovation packages highlighted by “¥699 per m², 20-day construction, and self-employed workers,” combined with deep user engagement and digital operations. The company reported about 400 orders per month in Beijing after early traction. It uses a city-partner expansion model in which headquarters retains 60% and local partners take 40%, supplying management and technology while local firms execute projects. Since June it began rapid nationwide expansion; by October it opened branches in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu, and following the B round its showroom network reached 12 cities with seven new showrooms unveiled. Management emphasizes heavy vertical focus and has invested in digitizing frontline staff (mobile ERP, CRM and integrated back-end systems) to improve efficiency and control costs. The company intends to use new funding to accelerate national expansion, brand promotion, new-technology R&D and information-system construction.

  • Epirus Biopharmaceuticals

    Participated · Series B · Apr 2014

Epirus Biopharmaceuticals is a Boston-based biopharmaceutical company developing biosimilar monoclonal antibodies, focused on global development and commercialization. Its pipeline includes BOW015 (a biosimilar to Remicade®), BOW050 (a biosimilar to Humira®) and BOW030 (a biosimilar to Avastin®). The company has reported positive Phase 1 and Phase 3 data for BOW015; the Phase 3 trial met its predefined endpoint and demonstrated comparable efficacy, safety and immunogenicity to Remicade® as measured by ACR20 in severe rheumatoid arthritis patients. Epirus closed a $36 million Series B financing to support commercialization and further clinical development of BOW015 and ongoing pipeline activities. The company plans to initiate an additional Phase 3 trial for BOW015 in Europe in early 2015. Epirus pursues a market-specific commercialization strategy—partnering with local companies in emerging markets, using its SCALE™ platform with local partners for in-market manufacturing in select high-growth markets, and combining direct sales with local distributors in established markets such as Europe.
