DISA develops and deploys its patented High-Pressure Slurry Ablation (HPSA) platform to liberate and recover critical minerals and remediate legacy uranium sites. The company has commissioned commercial-scale HPSA units at multiple global mining sites and reports more than 100 abandoned uranium mine sites under contract for remediation. In September 2025 DISA received a first-of-its-kind NRC license that enables remediation of AUM sites across the United States. The company plans to begin remediation projects later in 2026, including projects on the Navajo Nation and at a federal site covered by its NRC license. DISA says the technology is designed to offer faster, cleaner, and more efficient mineral liberation and recovery. Founded in 2018, DISA is based in Casper, Wyoming, with a satellite office in Westminster, Colorado.

Mitico develops a post-combustion carbon-capture system that uses potassium carbonate pebbles bound with an additive to prevent them from turning to mush, leveraging a carbonation/decarbonation reaction the CEO described as “prehistorical chemistry.” The pebbles can capture more than 95% of the CO2 in an exhaust stream; once saturated the material is heated to release CO2 for storage or for use in plastics or e-fuels. The company claims that at commercial scale its approach should capture a metric ton of CO2 for much less than $85. An early pilot is attached to a boiler at a refinery in Thailand, and Mitico is initially targeting industrial-scale boilers with ESG-driven customers. Its broader plan is to expand into major emitters, with natural gas power plants cited as the real target market. To support scaling and build larger pilots, Mitico completed a seed fundraising round.

Cache Energy develops a thermal storage system that stores energy in chemical bonds inside lime-derived pellets (starting from calcium hydroxide that converts to calcium oxide when heated) and releases heat when rehydrated. The pellets are designed to be stored in piles or silos, moved by conveyor belts or rail, and held under simple containment, with the company saying they can retain charge almost indefinitely. The system currently produces heat up to 550°C and Cache is developing a version capable of ~900°C to reach more industrial markets. Cache reports overall system efficiency around 95%, an hourly production rate equivalent to about 500 kilowatt-hours, and pellet costs of roughly $0.20–$0.40 per kilowatt-hour at current production. The company was founded in 2021 by Arpit Dwivedi and currently has one pilot reactor deployed with a customer. Future plans include shipping more reactors to customers and raising a Series A to scale deployments while keeping equipment and material costs low by using off-the-shelf parts.

XtraLit develops a technology to extract lithium from oil and gas produced water. The company is advancing commercialization and scaling by partnering with industry participants to test and optimize processes for different produced-water streams. As part of its plans, XtraLit will open an operation center on the Halliburton Labs campus in Houston, Texas, to benefit from Halliburton’s expertise, network, and facilities. The partnership aims to support fossil fuel energy producers in transitioning to new sustainable energy approaches. Management says the technology could unlock significant new lithium supply to meet growing demand. The company recently completed a $30 million Round B that includes a strategic investment from Halliburton Labs.

Renkube develops a motion-free tracking system embedded in solar panel glass that uses AI to achieve orientation without mechanical trackers. The company positions its smart glass design as a lifetime, zero-maintenance alternative to mechanical trackers that add ~15% capital cost and require upkeep. Renkube claims the technology is integrated into the glass and intended to replace motors and gears used in large solar farms. With seed funding, the firm plans industrial-scale manufacturing of its glass design and to obtain certifications. It intends to demonstrate the technology with customers in India, the US, and Australia. The company will start by focusing on the solar photovoltaic market and later enable use cases including integrated solar rooftops, agricultural PV, solar water heaters, and solar balconies.
