- Silence laboratories
Participated · Seed · Sep 2022
Silence Laboratories offers privacy-preserving infrastructure built on multiparty computation (MPC), providing libraries and products that let enterprises process data and authorize actions without exposing secrets. The company sells a B2B licensing suite and currently offers two products: Silent Shard (audited by Trail of Bits) and Silent Compute. Silence targets digital-asset firms, financial and healthcare organizations, and telecommunications customers, and reports more than 20 enterprise customers including BitGo, MetaMask, and EigenLayer. The startup generates around $500,000 in annual recurring revenue and charges based on accounts protected and feature tiers. Founded as an MFA company and spun out of more than a decade of applied-cryptography R&D, Silence pivoted to cryptographic security and plans to expand teams and its R&D pipeline with new funding. Silence Laboratories is a Singapore-based web3-focused cybersecurity startup building libraries for multi-party computation and proofs-based Decentralised Security-as-a-Service (DSaaS). Its core offerings provide developer-focused functionality for key management, distributed signature and authorization built on MPC, sensing and intelligent signal processing. The company has developed flagship products, Silent Shard and Silent Auth, to support authentication and authorization needs for custodians, non-custodial and semi-custodial wallets, exchanges and web3-centric cloud service providers. Silence says it works closely with several leading players in the Web3 ecosystem to develop these products. The startup plans to widen its developer-centric decentralised security stack, strengthen its team and scale go-to-market operations. It closed a $1.7M seed round led by Pi Ventures with participation from imToken Ventures and several angel investors.
- CoWSwap
Participated · Equity · Mar 2022
CoWDAO is the steward organization for CoW Protocol, a batch-auction-based trading infrastructure that enables trustless, peer-to-peer settlement and MEV protection on EVM chains. The protocol was incubated inside GnosisDAO for four years and was autonomously spun out via a governance proposal and community deployment that created CoWDAO and a vCOW token airdrop. CoW Protocol powers a network of traders and solvers and aims to become a core settlement layer for decentralized trading across Web3 by delivering better prices through P2P execution and co-shared costs. The recent $23M raise will fund ecosystem development, hires, expansion into new chains where MEV protection is needed, and marketing. Token distribution and the fundraising process emphasized decentralization: no single holder has >1% of vCOW supply except GnosisDAO, and more than 5,000 CoWmunity participants took part alongside 57 private investors. The community investment mechanism allowed protocol users to exercise options to receive vCOW tokens at a set price, vested linearly over four years. High take-up rates were reported: 90.9% of Ethereum-allocated options and 50.2% of Gnosis Chain-allocated options were exercised.
- Aurora
Participated · Equity · Oct 2021
Aurora Labs is an Ethereum-compatible developer platform built on top of the NEAR Protocol that provides an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) with high throughput and low transaction costs. The platform lets developers use ETH as the base token rather than introducing a new native token. Aurora operates bridges between Ethereum and NEAR and between Ethereum and Aurora to enable cross-chain activity. The company plans to update its Rainbow Bridge to allow NFTs to move seamlessly between NEAR and Ethereum. Other products in development include a price oracle, a data indexer, a block explorer and more. Aurora intends to use recent funding to continue EVM and bridge development and to expand its 25-person team by hiring additional blockchain engineers.

Nansen builds analytics dashboards for crypto traders and hedge funds, analyzing public blockchain information across some 90 million Ethereum wallets. Its product surfaces signals across verticals including DeFi, yield farming, liquidity pools, DEX activity, and NFT collections, with a popular "Token God Mode" dashboard for ERC20 token flows. The company sells tiered subscriptions, including a $116/month package for traders and a $2,500/month plan offering bespoke support, weekly calls, exclusive chat groups and vertical-specific information sessions. Nansen publishes some higher-level data publicly while reserving more granular, up-to-the-moment data for paying customers. The product and commercial approach position Nansen to serve both retail traders and institutional investors navigating decentralized finance.
