Led by CEO Amadeo Brands, the firm is developing a suite of products for the liquid staking landscape. Its first upcoming product, ynETH, is a liquid restaking token designed to boost and auto-compound ETH yields via a curated AVS basket composed of isolated AVS categories. - Odsy Foundation
Participated · Seed · May 2023
Odsy Foundation, established in August 2022 and led by Executive Director Sean Lee, is dedicated to fostering and developing the Odsy Network ecosystem. The Odsy Network, led by Omer Sadika, is building a secure and programmable access control layer for Web3 through a new crypto primitive called dWallets. dWallets are programmable, transferable signing mechanisms that live on the decentralized Odsy Network and can sign transactions on practically any blockchain. The foundation promotes research, education, development and partnerships to accelerate dWallet adoption and supports development of a universal access control layer following decentralized, open platform principles. The network is still in development, and there are already over 10 projects actively building in the Odsy ecosystem, many of them VC-backed (including dWallet Labs and Fun). The organization intends to use the newly raised funds to expand operations and further development efforts.
- NuLink
Participated · Equity · Nov 2021
NuLink provides decentralized privacy protection technology via an API aimed at integrating privacy features into decentralized applications. Its platform is positioned to help developers, startups, small businesses and enterprises build applications while adopting security and privacy best practices. The company emphasizes privacy-preserving tooling for dApps rather than a consumer-facing product. NuLink is described as being based in Sweden. The article reports that NuLink completed a $1.6M strategic financing. The raise signals outside investor interest in its API-focused privacy offering. NuLink provides privacy-preserving technology for decentralized applications through an out-of-the-box API platform. The platform offers endpoint encryption and cryptographic access control, using Proxy Re-Encryption and Attribute-Based Encryption to grant access by policy. For data recipients, NuLink supports Zero-Knowledge Proofs for privacy-preserving data availability and can employ Fully Homomorphic Encryption for enterprise-level data computation. The company highlights use cases including encrypted NFT marketplaces, electronic health record sharing, joint medical data analysis, decentralized digital rights management, privacy-preserving social networks, and encrypted financial data prediction. Co-founder David Jiao said the roadmap is to create a smart and scalable software architecture and to evolve from privacy data sharing to privacy data computing while building industry-specific use cases. NuLink announced a $4 million raise from a syndicate of crypto investors, per the company press release.
- QANplatform [QAN blockchain platform]
Led · Seed · May 2021
QANplatform develops a quantum-resistant Layer 1 hybrid blockchain that enables developers and enterprises to build quantum-resistant smart contracts, DApps, DeFi, DAOs, tokens, NFTs, Metaverse, CBDC, tokenized assets and other Web3 solutions in any programming language. The company says its platform supports enterprise and developer use cases by combining quantum-resistant cryptography with a Layer 1 blockchain architecture. QANplatform raised $15M in a funding round to support its growth and international expansion. The company intends to use the funds to facilitate global market access and expansion. QANplatform is led by CEO Jevgenia Kim and CTO Johann Polecsak and is based in Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia. It has established partnerships and recognition, including being signed as Alpine Esports/Group Renault’s Official Blockchain Partner in February 2023 and selection for the EY Global Startup Academy 2023 program. QANplatform is building a quantum-proof, energy-efficient hybrid blockchain that relies on its Proof-of-Randomness (PoR) protocol and supports smart contracts in major programming languages. The project aims to lower developer entry barriers so startups and enterprises can build PoCs and MVPs quickly and run business processes on-chain in minutes. QANplatform powers projects such as StarColl, an NFT marketplace that released 800 special edition Star Wars NFTs, and has announced an integration with Chainlink to enable more complex contracts using external data. The company raised $2.1M in seed and private funding to accelerate product development, marketing, and liquidity provision on exchanges. A next milestone is a token listing on Uniswap on May 21, which the team says leverages Uniswap’s automated liquidity protocol to make tokens publicly available.
