  • Birdsview

    Participated · Equity · Aug 2026

Birdsview develops a platform that combines ground-penetrating radar, LiDAR and proprietary algorithms to turn sensor data into 3D models showing rebar position, thickness, cracks, voids and corrosion without drilling. The company launched its first concrete product in January 2025 and after beginning direct pre-sales in March 2026 customers in nine countries adopted the system within weeks. Birdsview started by building sensors to detect rot in wooden utility poles and expanded the approach to concrete; it was founded by Olav Skogen and Simen Husøy while students in Trondheim. The company operates from Bergen and Oslo and has 14 employees. Since launch it has scanned over 100 structures and counts clients such as Vinci, Bouygues Construction, EllisDon, Sweco, Asplan Viak and Rambøll. Customer examples include a Bergen contractor that used Birdsview to map rebar under a basement, saving about 200,000 NOK and two weeks of work.

  • Vateris

    Participated · Equity · Apr 2026

Vateris operates a proprietary carbon mineralization process that converts industrial flue gas CO2 into GypCarb, a mineral additive for cement and concrete, while co-producing a mineral fertilizer. Its GypCarb product is positioned as a drop-in additive designed to deliver performance and economic benefits without requiring changes to existing production infrastructure. The company has commissioned a pilot plant and is scaling toward a first commercial plant that would be co-located with a partner to take flue gas directly. Vateris recently rebranded from Concrete4Change to reflect its transition from a concept to a precision carbon-to-materials platform focused on engineering vaterite. To support commercialization and industrial execution it has expanded its commercial team with senior hires from the building materials and fertilizer sectors. The company has secured strategic investment from industry players to validate potential integration into mainstream cement production and European construction chemicals channels.

  • Acembee

    Participated · Equity · Aug 2025

Acembee offers an AI-driven platform that automates energy monitoring and compliance reporting for construction sites. Its system integrates data from smart meters, utility bills, and on-site sensors to generate lifecycle assessment (LCA) reports and identify opportunities to reduce energy waste. The platform helps contractors transition away from spreadsheets and disconnected systems by centralizing energy and compliance data. Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Acembee has already onboarded several major contractors. The company will use its €1.2M funding to enhance AI capabilities, scale customer onboarding, and expand into new European markets. No revenue or user metrics are provided in the article.

  • Jälle Technologies

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2025

Jälle Technologies develops processes to recover value from end-of-life lithium‑ion batteries and to upcycle discarded graphite into few‑layer, graphene-like carbon materials prized for strength, conductivity, and flexibility. The company grew out of advanced materials research at Estonia’s National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics and was founded by scientists including Kerli Liivand, Martin Jantson, Reio Praats, Erki Ani, and Ivar Kruusenberg. Jälle aims to achieve very high lithium recycling efficiencies while converting waste graphite into advanced materials for next‑generation applications. Its technology targets Europe’s growing battery-waste challenge as end-of-life battery volumes are projected to surpass 230 kilotonnes by 2030. The startup is piloting scale-up, validating proprietary processes at pilot scale, and expanding its Estonia-based team with active hiring.
