- Haga Bioscience
Participated · Seed · Jun 2026
Founded in 2024 and based in Stockholm, Haga Bioscience develops spatial RNA analysis technology that enables sensitive, specific detection of single nucleotide variants (SNVs) on RNA directly in situ using new in situ hybridization methods. The company's platform is oriented toward spatial RNA biomarker discovery and clinical translation. Haga has raised approximately USD 2.3M in Seed capital (bringing total funding to about USD 3M including pre-seed) from investors including Almi Invest, Life Science Invest and SU Ventures as well as undisclosed industry veterans, family offices and private investors. The company intends to use the capital to further product development, accelerate commercialization, and expand collaborations with academic and industry partners. Haga will also present its latest advances in translational spatial RNA analysis at the 2026 EACR Congress in Budapest.
- CubaseBio
Participated · Equity · Feb 2026
CubaseBio is building a next-generation 3D spatial transcriptomics platform that captures gene expression inside intact specimens through volumetric DNA microscopy. The technology reconstructs three-dimensional proximity maps by embedding molecular networks into samples and decoding them with DNA sequencing, yielding both spatial coordinates and nucleotide-level information in a single readout. By moving beyond traditional 2D tissue sections, the company aims to make spatial biology workflows scalable for drug discovery, disease research, organoid studies and whole-organism profiling. Founded in 2024 by spatial-omics veterans Malte Kuhnemund, Xiaoyan Qian, Toon Verheyen and Paulius Mielinis, the team also includes scientific advisory co-founders Joshua Weinstein and Björn Högberg, pioneers of DNA microscopy. CubaseBio plans to use its newly raised capital to advance core technology development, expand engineering capacity and initiate early commercialization efforts. Financially, the company has secured €5.9 million in blended funding, its first external capital, providing runway to refine the platform and engage pilot customers. No user, revenue or deployment metrics have been disclosed yet.
