  • RiskFront AI

    Led · Seed · Jan 2026

RiskFront AI is a Los Angeles-based startup building “Airos,” an AI-driven operating system that replaces manual compliance and anti-fraud workflows with specialized software agents. Airos’ three primary modules autonomously scan open-source data for due-diligence signals, analyze transaction patterns, and extract insights from dense documents, collectively reducing research time from days to minutes. The platform aims to let analysts spend roughly 80 % of their time on higher-value judgment calls rather than repetitive data gathering. Management frames the opportunity around the more than $100 billion that U.S. companies lose annually to financial crime and the rising regulatory burden on risk teams. By flipping the current labor mix—70 % manual work, 5 % analysis—to a far more automated model, RiskFront positions itself as a “force multiplier” for existing staff. The newly secured capital gives the company runway to advance product development and scale go-to-market efforts. No revenue, user, or customer metrics were disclosed in the press coverage.

  • MontyCloud

    Participated · Series B · Jan 2026

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Redmond, Washington, MontyCloud builds a platform that helps enterprises and managed service providers automatically run, govern, and optimize their cloud infrastructure. The software enforces governance policies, reduces manual workflows, and identifies cost-saving opportunities, contributing to what the company describes as a major industry shift toward automated CloudOps. Over the past two years, cloud spend under MontyCloud’s management has expanded more than 400%, and the firm’s recurring revenue has nearly tripled on a compound annual basis. The company currently employs about 85 people, most of whom are based in India. Led by CEO Walter Rogers since 2022, MontyCloud’s leadership team also includes founders Venkat Krishnamachari (CPO) and Kannan Parthasarathy (CTO). With fresh capital in hand, the startup plans to accelerate product development and broaden its customer base among MSPs and large enterprises.

  • Truffle Security

    Participated · Series B · Nov 2025

Truffle Security builds TruffleHog, an open-source and enterprise platform that detects, verifies, and analyzes more than 800 types of secrets and non-human identities across codebases and cloud environments. The software provides a developer-friendly interface that shows whether exposed credentials are active, what they can access, and how to remediate them. Recent product work includes TruffleHog GCP Analyze, an add-on that offers deep visibility into leaked Google Cloud service accounts. With new funding, the company plans to broaden its NHI analysis to AWS and Azure while scaling go-to-market and customer-success teams. The company will also accelerate product innovation around secrets detection, verification, and remediation. Truffle Security is led by CEO and founder Dylan Ayrey and is headquartered in San Francisco, CA. Its Series B financing brings fresh capital to support growth, although no additional operating metrics were disclosed.

  • RAD Security

    Participated · Series A · Feb 2025

RAD Security offers an AI-driven platform that ingests and analyzes data from multiple sources and queries security tools to enable smart triage and drastically reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR). Its technology builds on a battle-tested Cloud Detection and Response (CDR) solution, using runtime security and fingerprinting to establish behavioral baselines and detect deviations indicating malicious activity or insider threats. The platform includes monitoring and detection for AI-related threats—such as shadow AI, data exfiltration, prompt injection attacks—and supports vulnerability management and GRC teams with agent-based querying. RAD plans to expand its agentic capabilities and enhance its AI-driven defense platform to secure enterprises' cloud and AI deployments as they grow and adapt. The company intends to use the Series A proceeds to accelerate that expansion and improve advanced AI-driven solutions. RAD Security is led by CEO Brooke Motta and is based in San Francisco, CA.

  • VISO TRUST

    Participated · Equity · Nov 2024

VISO TRUST provides an AI-driven third-party risk management (TPRM) platform that collects, analyzes, and continuously monitors vendor artifacts to produce real-time, evidence-based assessments. The platform automates vendor assessments, analyzes control presence, testing methodologies, exceptions, and Nth-party references, and integrates with existing workflows to reduce manual burden. VISO TRUST says it cuts vendor assessment and onboarding time by up to 90%, completes rapid assessments in 5–7 days, and achieves a 98% vendor adoption rate; customers include Upwork, Instacart, Notion, and Bain Capital. The company aggregates sources such as breach advisories, SBOMs, and SEC filings to provide continuous security intelligence and real-time insights. Following a $24M funding round, VISO TRUST plans to accelerate platform innovation, scale its artifact-based platform, and build an adaptable AI governance framework focused on real risk reduction. It serves a global customer base across sectors including financial services, healthcare, and technology. Viso Trust is a San Francisco-based third-party cyber risk management platform co-founded by former CISO Paul Valente (CEO) and security and technology leader Russell Sherman (CTO). The product leverages document heuristics, machine learning, and natural language processing to discover, classify, and assess relevant control language in artifacts that third parties already have. This automation is intended to free risk and security teams from manual tasks like reading documents and analyzing spreadsheets. In March 2022 the company raised $11M in a Series A led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from Work-Bench, Sierra Ventures, Lytical Ventures and individual investors including Kevin Mandia, George Kurtz, and Doug Merritt. BCV partner Enrique Salem will join Viso Trust’s board of directors as part of the round. In under a year the company has scaled rapidly among customers ranging from hyper-growth tech companies to Fortune 500 enterprises across industries such as banking, automotive, and retail. Viso Trust builds a platform that leverages AI and a "social due diligence" network to deliver continuous third-party risk reports. The platform automatically extracts data from source documents and audits to surface key information about vendor relationships. The company validated its core concepts with over 300 chief information security officers and security professionals and cites an early customer, Ilumio, which reduced security staff time per third‑party relationship from more than eight hours to 30 minutes. Viso Trust said it raised $3 million and will use the funds to support expansion and hiring and to invest in sales, marketing, and R&D. The product aims to eliminate questionnaire-based interactions and speed vendor security reviews across additional risk areas such as business continuity and privacy. The founders previously led security teams at LendingClub and ASAPP, and the company is San Francisco-based.
