Unicorn is a fully integrated, tech-enabled platform that lets collectors discover, buy, sell, vault, and digitally track spirits and wine via web and app. The company was founded by early Uber alumni Phil Mikhaylov (CEO) and Kenny Tsai (COO) together with Chicago hospitality veterans Cody Modeer (Chief Business Officer) and AJ Heindel (Chief Product Officer). Unicorn operates a custodial Unicorn Vault offering state-of-the-art storage, global logistics, and security while enabling digital collection management. Since inception the platform has facilitated 3.2+ million total bids, is nearing $100M in lifetime platform sales, and has vaulted hundreds of thousands of bottles. Unicorn plans to expand internationally, add new categories and business lines, grow its Chicago-based team, broaden marketing, and further develop the platform. In 2024 it will offer industry analytics, market insights, valuations, and invest in blockchain and RFID technology to provide proof of ownership and enable digital transactions globally.
