Dili builds an AI-driven compliance platform tailored to the complex regulatory requirements around construction and infrastructure projects, including prevailing wage and apprenticeship rules. Its architecture uses contemporary AI models to extract structured data from unstructured documents, then applies a deterministic rules engine to avoid LLM-induced errors in final compliance decisions. The company reports the software is already deployed on about 700 projects spanning manufacturing facilities to data centers. Approximately half of those projects use Dili as an in-house tool while the other half outsource compliance to Dili under a contractor model. Dili’s leadership expects the market to shift toward in-house software adoption over time as AI automates professional services workflows. The company emphasizes reliability due to the high financial risks of non-compliance, noting violations can result in millions of dollars in fines.

Impossible Mining builds responsible seabed mining and refining technology with a focus on deep‑sea robotics and Bio‑Extraction. Based in San Jose and a graduate of Y Combinator's W22 batch, the company is developing a four‑mile‑deep robotic collection system to selectively recover battery metals from the seafloor. It is also developing Bio‑Extraction refining technology intended to process recovered materials in an environmentally responsible way. The team says its approach aims to preserve the seafloor environment compared with dredge‑based methods. Impossible Mining closed an additional $10.1 million in seed funding to fund development and testing of its deep‑sea robotics and to continue advancing its extraction technology. Leadership has emphasized the strategic importance of securing independent access to critical battery metals amid rising lithium‑ion battery demand.
