Newable Ventures is a private investment group that connects early-stage investors with high-growth scale-up companies. They provide Private Investors, Family Offices, and Corporate Investors the opportunity to invest in potentially high-growth early-stage knowledge-intensive companies. Many of their Investors not only invest in the companies they present but also work alongside them as Lead Investors to help them unleash their potential. Having been in operation for over 30 years they have developed an extensive ecosystem of investors, co-investors, and partners who they work with to ensure they have an extensive pipeline of early-stage companies to work with. Investors are able to attend their Investor Events to meet entrepreneurs directly or invest in their Funds for a more passive approach. Delta.g is a Birmingham-based quantum technology spin-out from the University of Birmingham that builds quantum sensors engineered for real-world deployment. Its proprietary devices provide significant gains in precision, portability and reliability, enabling quantum-grade geospatial data collection. Early trials have demonstrated value across infrastructure monitoring, transportation, and other dual-use government and commercial scenarios. The hardware is paired with a data and analytics layer that integrates sensor outputs directly into customers’ decision-making workflows. With newly raised capital the company plans to expand its technical team, scale manufacturing capacity and deliver pilot field systems through key partners. It also intends to advance its analytics platform to support broader adoption. RAB-Microfluids has developed and patented a microfluidic "lab on a chip" designed to diagnose early signs of lubrication-related equipment failure in real time. The device targets main engines, gearboxes and generators and the company says it can be up to 1,000 times faster and significantly cheaper than land-based laboratories. RAB-Microfluids intends to launch the device later this year and will showcase it at trade fairs starting at SMM in Hamburg. To scale production and obtain regulatory approvals it is moving to larger premises at Aberdeen’s Energy Development Centre and will kickstart manufacturing there. The funding will also support a strengthened corporate, sales and marketing operation and the creation of eight new roles. The company reports it is winning new business from pilot projects, including work with NorthLink Ferries, and is aiming to hit a £2m turnover by 2024. RAB-Microfluidics develops laboratory-on-a-chip technology that enables on-site analysis of oil samples from heavy machinery rather than shipping samples to onshore labs. The company says its approach delivers oil analysis more than 1,000 times faster and around 10 times cheaper than conventional laboratory testing. Founded in 2016 by Dr. Rotimi Alabi and built out of the University of Aberdeen, the firm participated in OGTC’s TechX Pioneers accelerator in 2018. Its customer base spans the UK and international markets across aerospace, defence, maritime, oil and gas, transport, processing and manufacturing industries. The company plans to use new investment to strengthen its team and advance its product roadmap. It recently secured fresh funding to support this next phase of commercialisation.

SERG Technologies is a London-based developer of a device intended to provide early diagnosis and continuous monitoring of Parkinson’s disease. Founded in 2019 by Dr Ravi Vaidyanathan and Dr Sam Wilson and led by CEO Dr Christos Kapatos, the company is based on research at Imperial College London. Its NuRO platform uses acoustic sensors to detect movement and assess the state of patients' muscles, offering a more objective way to identify symptoms and measure severity. The platform could enable early diagnosis and be used for continuous patient monitoring to help doctors manage the disease more effectively. There is also potential to use the devices to deliver electrical stimulation of muscles to help relieve symptoms and to support work on a potential treatment. Psyomics develops Censeo, a digital diagnostic support platform that mirrors the depth of a comprehensive face-to-face mental health assessment through adaptive questions and an auto-generated report of potential conditions and next-step recommendations. The platform is designed to guide individual users through a stigma-free assessment and to support clinicians (including non-psychiatrists) in establishing appropriate care pathways more quickly. The company ran a pilot within GP practices that received positive feedback from both GPs and patients, and it recently opened access to individual users while starting new projects within NHS treatment providers. Psyomics was spun out from the University of Cambridge and is co-founded by Professor Sabine Bahn and Daniel Cowell. The company raised funding to continue expanding access to Censeo among individual users and NHS trusts. Psyomics has developed Censeo, a digital mental-health assessment and diagnosis platform built on 20 years of clinical research. Censeo mirrors the process of a face-to-face psychiatric assessment by guiding patients through adaptive questions while algorithms generate a bespoke ‘map’ of an individual’s mental health and provide diagnosis where appropriate. The platform is intended to help GPs and clinicians provide the right level of support earlier, give patients a less confrontational start to care, and relieve strain on the healthcare system. Psyomics says Censeo is ready to hit the UK market and has been developed as a medical device compliant with the Medical Device Directive 93/42 EEC, ISO 13485 and the NHS Toolkit. The company has closed a £1.5 million funding round to commercialize the platform, and prior funding came from Cambridge Enterprise, Innovate UK, Parkwalk and the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme. Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer Prof. Sabine Bahn highlights long diagnostic delays for conditions such as depression and bipolar disorder, underscoring the need for improved diagnostic tools.
