After purchase the company renovates homes and offers move-in ready properties to buyers. Its platform aims to automate and simplify the traditionally stressful process of selling residential real estate while adding transparency and liquidity for B2B market participants. Kodit.io launched in Madrid two years ago and today operates in Tallinn and six cities in Finland. The startup plans to expand to Paris, Barcelona and Warsaw later this year. It closed a new venture round to fund that European expansion and previously raised €2M in seed capital. Kodit.io is a Helsinki-founded proptech startup that buys residential apartments by providing homeowners with fast valuations and cash offers, enabling quicker transactions than the private market. Sellers can freeze a received quote for up to eight weeks while listing the property elsewhere and can choose their preferred move-out timing. The company currently operates in Finland and Estonia and has partnered with Oikotie, Finland’s largest real estate listing site. Over the past eight months Kodit.io has purchased more than 80 and exited more than 40 properties valued under €500,000 across seven cities: Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen, Turku, Tampere and Tallinn. Kodit.io plans to expand into Southern and Eastern Europe and is exploring partnership opportunities with marketplace platforms owned by its new investor, Schibsted. Following its latest raise, PassiveLogic has secured more than $125 million in total funding to accelerate worldwide deployment of its platform.
