- Innocens
Participated · Equity · Nov 2025
Innocens is a biotech spin-off from the University of Antwerp building an AI-based Clinical Decision Support System for neonatal intensive care units. The software delivers 24/7 risk predictions to help caregivers detect early signs of infections, sepsis, and other complications in premature or critically ill newborns. With its technology, the company aims to improve clinical outcomes and reduce the workload of NICU staff. The recently secured capital will fund a new clinical validation study and enable Innocens to obtain CE regulatory certification, both prerequisites for broader market entry. Management will also use the money to strengthen the team’s competencies and accelerate the commercial rollout across Europe. Although no operating revenue or user metrics are disclosed, the company completed an initial financing round in 2023 and views the latest capital injection as a bridge to full commercialization.
- Navinci Diagnostics
Participated · Series A · Jul 2022
Navinci Diagnostics (formerly Olink Bioscience) develops and markets in situ proximity ligation assays for detecting proteins, their interactions, and post-translational modifications in tissue and cell samples. The company's initial focus is on immuno-oncology research and drug development. It is led by CEO Robert Gunnarsson. Navinci plans to soon launch the first commercially available assay to accurately detect PD‑1/PD‑L1 interactions in tissue samples. The company intends to use new funding to accelerate international commercialization and to form partnerships with pharma companies and firms with complementary technologies to offer complete solutions for customers. The recent Series A strengthens its position as it moves toward broader market entry.
