- Metafarmers
Led · Series A · Aug 2025
Metafarmers develops AI-enabled robotic solutions for agriculture, centered on its OmniFarmer platform. OmniFarmer is a versatile robot that performs harvesting, pollination, sorting, and growth prediction using dedicated grippers and AI recognition technology. The system is designed to operate across diverse environments, from open-field farms to vertical farms and greenhouses, enabling human-robot collaboration to address rural labor shortages caused by population aging. The company was founded by robotics experts from the IDIM lab at Seoul National University and has received international recognition, including the CES 2025 AgTech Innovation Award. It also obtained an AI-based growth prediction model from the Rural Development Administration to improve crop-evaluation capabilities. Metafarmers is running PoC validation trials with agricultural cooperatives, large farms, and the Smart Farm Innovation Valley as it prepares for large-scale commercialization; the recent funding will support further advancement of its AI recognition and robot control technologies.
- Paywatch
Participated · Series A · Jun 2024
Founded in 2020, Paywatch provides an earned wage access (EWA) service that lets employees withdraw a portion of their accrued salary instantly, reducing dependence on short-term credit between paydays. The company has processed more than US$200 million in EWA transactions and supports large enterprise clients such as Genting Group, DFI Retail (Guardian), Shangri-La Hotels, CP Group (Lotus’s), Lotte Group, Wilmar and Hyundai. Operating across six markets—Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea—Paywatch embeds its solution directly into employer payroll and HR systems. Management plans to transform the business into a “NeoFi” platform by adding micro-insurance, cross-border payments and employee rewards, all delivered through AI-driven tooling. Partnerships with the UNCDF and the ILO are cited to underscore responsible product design. The firm argues that its offering lowers employee churn and boosts productivity for employers while improving workers’ financial outcomes. Credit lines from global banks complement venture funding, enabling a capital-light growth model that supports rapid regional expansion.
