    Monato is a Mexican fintech founded in 2024 that builds modular, scalable financial infrastructure enabling retailers, lenders, and payment service providers to integrate financial services quickly, securely, and under Mexican regulation. The company has a strategic alliance with regulated institution Finco Pay to offer account opening, fund transfers, and bill-payment infrastructure. Finco Pay, in under two years of operations, has achieved direct connectivity to Mexico's SPEI system and obtained CNBV authorization to operate as an IFPE. Monato already operates a payments infrastructure and plans to expand its rails beyond SPEI while building a data-driven intelligent financing model. With new capital, Monato intends to accelerate launches of direct debit, FX solutions, acquiring services, and integrated smart credit platforms, and is evaluating applying for authorization to operate as a Sociedad Financiera Popular (Sofipo).

  • Pacto

    Pacto builds a cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) platform with integrated payments tailored to restaurants and bars. Its software offers a range of payment options and tools to help merchants manage operations and increase revenue and tips. The company said it will use the new funding to accelerate growth and continue developing market-leading products for small merchants. Pacto has stated a goal of winning the Mexican point-of-sale market for the restaurant industry. The seed financing brings Pacto's total raised to $6 million and was announced in March 2023. Pacto was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in the U.S. with an office in Mexico City.

  • Jawbone Health

    Jawbone Health offers a clinical-grade personalized subscription service that aggregates continuous health data and applies machine intelligence to drive behavior change and early disease prevention. The company plans to make its own monitoring devices and provide them free with the subscription. An SEC filing shows the company has raised $65.4 million. LinkedIn indicates the team is roughly 51 people and includes VP of engineering Jonathan Hummel and VP of Informatics Yaniv Kerem, an emergency medical physician. Coverage highlights significant competition (sleep rings, sensor bracelets, smart textiles and the Apple Watch). The company traces back to work Rahman began in earnest in summer 2017 following the winding down of his prior Jawbone hardware business.

    Nomics provides professional-grade, cloud-based cryptocurrency data products and APIs for institutional crypto investors. Launched in 2018 by co-founders Clay Collins and Nicholas Gauthier, the company offers free and paid APIs used for backtests, machine learning models, real-time trading bots, portfolio valuation and fintech apps. Nomics currently indexes over 3.5 billion data points and serves over 35 million API calls per month. The company is based in Boston, MA and Minneapolis, MN. In December 2018 Nomics raised $3M in Series A financing. The firm intends to use the funds to develop new products and add engineers in 2019.
