STRM.BIO is a Cambridge, Massachusetts–based biotechnology company focused on a non-viral, cell-derived delivery modality for in vivo gene and cell therapies. Its megakaryocyte-derived vesicle (MV) platform is designed to safely and precisely carry complex genetic cargos directly to bone marrow, overcoming the immunogenicity and payload limits of viral and synthetic vectors. The company’s initial pipeline targets Fanconi anemia and other rare hematological disorders, while longer-term plans include in vivo CAR-T and broader immune-cell engineering applications. Recent funding activity has provided meaningful runway: $8 million in Series Seed 2 equity coupled with an $8.4 million ARPA-H contract brought total seed-stage capital raised in late 2025 to $16.4 million. STRM.BIO intends to use the proceeds to complete platform validation, advance preclinical programs toward the clinic, and prepare for a forthcoming Series A. Backers now include strategic pharma investors Recordati and Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund alongside Delos Capital and Blue Bay Capital. No revenue or clinical data have been disclosed to date.
