- Adventr
Participated · Seed · Jan 2024
Adventr offers a cloud-based platform that lets users upload assets and connect to their databases to build interactive videos in real time, including voice-powered experiences, training videos, and gamified ads. The company also sells an enterprise version with added integrations and services used by customers such as Amazon, Cisco, and Marc Jacobs. Adventr says its ad units have achieved roughly a 20% click-through rate, and it reported a fivefold increase in sales in 2023 (no dollar amounts disclosed). The team currently comprises 13 full-time employees and about 10 outside advisors. Management plans to use new funding to grow sales and marketing, open its first office, and hire additional executive leadership and staff in 2024. The product roadmap aims to make media more personalized, intelligent, and connected—positioning Adventr as a platform for creating what the CEO calls the "Photoshop of connected media." Adventr offers a drag-and-drop SaaS tool that lets creators and brands build interactive videos that respond to clicks, touch and voice. The company has patented a voice-control technology called SmartListen that can change content mid‑stream based on voice commands; those features are slated for select partners in early 2022. Adventr refined its product in beta and reports about 8,000 users, including AsiaNet News, MSI Gaming, SK Interactive and the New South Wales government. After appearing as a top‑5 finalist at TechCrunch Disrupt, the company saw a six‑figure jump in revenue and ongoing inbound interest. At the time of the article the team was small (about five employees during Disrupt) and had recently added former Vimeo GM Peter Gerard as product lead. Planned uses for funding include building out the team and rolling out integrations so interactive videos can be shared natively on social platforms.
