- Joyned
Participated · Series A · Jan 2024
Joyned is a Jerusalem, Israel–based travel tech company that enables customers to book trips, vacations, and holidays together through a cross-website, live booking experience. Its AI-based social revenue platform analyzes and identifies consumer group-buying intent and delivers actionable insights into buyers’ decision-making, intent, group dynamics, conversations, and activities. The platform empowers travel sites of all sizes to host social engagements on-site and is used by global online travel agencies, hotel chains, booking sites, and travel tech providers to optimize revenue, conversions, and customer lifetime value. Led by CEO Jonathan Abraham, Joyned says it has signed agreements with leading travel brands and that the solution has had impact on their businesses. The company raised $8M in a Series A and plans to use the funds for product development, consolidating growth in international markets, business development, and driving sales and growth in new verticals. Joyned positions itself as bridging the gap between users’ desire for shared experiences and the ability to book together. Joyned (formerly Gamitee) provides a plug-and-play JavaScript solution for merchants—compatible with Shopify and other sites—that adds a “shop with me” button to enable shared shopping carts, mood boards and real-time conversation. The product is designed to keep shoppers on a retailer’s site while inviting friends to collaborate, narrowing the gap between online and offline shopping. Joyned reports tangible merchant impact: average sales increases of 6–15%, retention gains up to 250%, and traffic boosts of about 40% after social invitations. Over the last year the company launched its platform and saw sales grow to close to $500,000, with a target of $1 million in sales. The founders are CEO Jonathan Abraham and co-founder Michael Levinson; Abraham conceived the idea four years ago while planning his wedding. The company plans large-scale U.S. expansion, including building a marketing team in Florida and adding sales and support functions, and is preparing to pursue a Series A.
