The Nest approach treats each base as a replicable node to create distributed airborne infrastructure for continuous inspections and monitoring across industrial sites, logistics, smart-city and oil & gas applications. The platform is engineered for 24/7 BVLOS operation, leverages AI and precision optical cameras, and includes drone models with ATEX certification and an attestato di inoffensività for safer urban operations. Dronus was founded in 2018, is headquartered in Trieste and has a multidisciplinary team of over 30 people. The company has partnerships with Eni and Qualcomm and is running deployments including a monitoring initiative in Singapore with HTX and a 5G Smart Factory trial with Ericsson in the U.S. The recent €15 million raise will fund completion of Nest’s development, new AI features and the scaling of the platform’s data-management and transmission capabilities to support international expansion and deeper industrial adoption.

Fresh capital will accelerate its product roadmap, deepen AI integrations and support next-generation infrastructure for clients. Over the next 18 months, BKN301 plans to ink additional partnerships with banks, strengthen its AI stack and pursue further M&A opportunities. Financial details beyond fundraising were not disclosed, but the firm emphasizes scaling its technology and market reach with the new funds.
