- Lidwave
Participated · Seed · Oct 2024
Lidwave develops 4D LiDAR-on-chip sensors built around its proprietary Finite Coherent Ranging (FCR™) technology, integrating lasers, amplifiers, receivers and optical routing onto a single chip. The company’s coherent sensing method provides pixel-level Doppler (velocity) data alongside depth information. Lidwave plans to further develop its optical chip and launch what it calls the industry’s first software-definable 4D LiDAR sensor. The technology is positioned to reduce the cost, complexity, and reliability issues associated with legacy LiDAR systems. Lidwave is collaborating with OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and major players in industrial automation and smart infrastructure to drive adoption. The company says it will seek additional partnerships to scale production and extend its technology across industries to improve safety and automation.
- Stamm
Participated · Series A · Mar 2022
Stämm develops a next-generation biomanufacturing platform that pairs naturally occurring microfluidics and laminar flow with 3D-printing to enable continuous and autonomous mammalian cell production. Led by CEO Yuyo Llamazares and based in Buenos Aires, the company employs a team of more than 100 people. Following its Series A, Stämm plans to prepare for commercialization and to further develop biopharma partnerships into pilot scale. The company will also use funds to enhance operational infrastructure, continue growing its team, and deepen its international presence. The article does not report revenue or other operating metrics.
- Stämm Biotech
Participated · Series A · Feb 2022
Stämm Biotech is building a desktop-sized bioreactor that 3D prints a dense network of microchannels to move cells through nutrients and oxygen, replacing tanks, stirrers and tubing. Its system is designed with a software component that configures channel designs and has been described as a “CDMO on the cloud.” The company says its approach can reduce the size of a biomanufacturing facility by two orders of magnitude and currently achieves outputs of about 30 liters, with a claimed potential to scale to roughly 5,000 liters. Commercialization is still early: Stämm is working with one European biopharma on biosimilars and has five potential partners in the pipeline, and it plans to move to pilot scale in 2022. Financially, Stämm closed a $17M Series A and has raised $20M in total (including prior seed and pre-seed rounds). The company is refining its microfluidic bioreactors and control tools, exploring business models, and plans to double headcount and expand internationally.
- CADY
Led · Equity · Jan 2022
CADY develops AI-powered software for automatic inspection and verification of electrical schematics and automotive PCB designs, parsing component datasheets and cross-checking connections to detect errors early. The company says early error detection shortens the design process, reduces spending and Time to Market, and improves product quality and reliability. CADY was founded in 2020 by Shapira, Tal Ben Porath (CTO), and Or Shabtai (Head of Research) and is based in Israel. In January 2022 the company raised $3.0M to further develop its automatic PCB inspection capabilities. The product focuses on parsing datasheets of chips and electrical components and cross-checking them against designs to surface issues at early stages. CADY positions its solution to save money and resources for PCB designers and to increase the safety and reliability of final products.
