Urca Angels is a Brazilian network of investors mainly composed by former Instituto Militar de Engenharia (IME) Alumni who are interested in new, cutting edge early stage startups on individual basis. Urca Angels was formed in 2019 and is composed by a diverse team of C-Levels, mentors, former startup founders, professional investors and managers who are actively involved in the Brazilian startup ecosystem. Our approach is to identify and invest in high potential and long-term growth opportunities, with a focus in technology. Urca Angels leverages prior investment experience, industry experience and functional expertise, creating value for each company in which we invest. ​ Reflecting the diverse expertise of our team, Urca Angels’s mission is to invest in many different field of activities, including fintechs, e-commerce, energy, agtech, and many others. We are looking to leverage and invest in startups with scalable products, disruptive ideas, high growth and a team with strong execution capabilities. ​We are a forming a new generation of angel investors – we offer no bureaucracy, decisions as quickly as possible and constant contact and support to companies in which we invest.     Plain builds conversational artificial-intelligence agents that financial consultants use to create tailored investment, tax and succession plans for clients holding between R$100 k and R$1 m. The platform ingests client-supplied data, profiles risk tolerance, and drafts portfolio studies that advisers then review before making recommendations, removing dependency on product-sales commissions. By automating the operational workload, the tool aims to give smaller investors the same allocation intelligence long reserved for large family offices. Co-founders Diogo Duarte and André Luis Ogando Paraense combine more than two decades of financial-markets experience and academic research in AI. Investors cite an addressable market of roughly 21 million Brazilian investment accounts in the target asset range. With fresh funding, the company plans to finish product development and begin commercial operations in early 2026. Plain is also negotiating with multiple advisory firms interested in deploying its technology.

    Plaza, founded in 2023 by Julio Viana, Pedro de Cicco, and Vicente Alencar, is a São Paulo, Brazil–based startup that empowers real estate brokerages through artificial intelligence. Its core product is an AI chatbot named Maya which qualifies leads, responds to inquiries, schedules visits, and validates documents for agencies. Plaza serves clients in Brazil including Remax, Zelo Imóveis, and Lopes Condessa and has recorded over 30,000 interactions this year between potential tenants and real estate agencies. The company raised $1.0M in pre-seed funding and plans to use the proceeds to enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities. Plaza's product focuses on optimizing appointment scheduling, response times, and lead qualification to improve brokerage efficiency.

    ContaÁgil offers a product that combines traditional accounting services with tax-routine management, a digital account for legal entities and a financial-management platform that supports boleto generation and invoice issuance. The company targets small businesses and aims to simplify bureaucracy for entrepreneurs by integrating financial and banking solutions into its platform. Management says recent funding will be used to accelerate customer acquisition and to further improve platform usability and processes. The startup reports a user base growing at about 15% per month and has just surpassed 1,000 active customers. ContaÁgil was created in Canoas (RS) and has incrementally expanded its product and go-to-market efforts via prior investor support. ContaÁgil is a SaaS platform offering 100% online accounting and financial services for small businesses, connecting fintechs, banks, entrepreneurs, accountants and financial advisors. Founded in 2017 by Fábio Pereira, Rubens Oleinski and Diógenes Dorneles da Rosa, the company is active in more than 46 cities across 11 Brazilian states. It plans to expand to all Brazilian states, triple its user base and eventually transform into a fintech. The R$1.3 million investment will be used to strengthen developer and sales teams, add new platform functionalities and differentiated service plans, and connect new solutions and products. Planned product work includes improved interfaces for ME and customized interfaces for MEIs, professional interfaces for accountants and advisors, and an open-banking feature to manage and move digital accounts. Management has opened over 30 positions to support rapid growth and customer-base expansion.

    Já Vendeu operates a digital marketplace focused on the end-to-end process of buying and selling used goods. The startup assumes responsibility for product photography, cataloguing, listing and delivery, and provides detailed analyses of item conditions to increase transparency for consumers. In 2022 the company reported R$7 million in products commercialized, with electronics and appliances as prominent categories. The business has also expanded its warehouse to a space four times larger than at the start of operations. Company leadership frames Já Vendeu as a reference in the circular economy and says it is prepared to continue rapid growth. The team is described by investors as having strong synergy across product, technology and analysis capabilities. Já Vendeu offers a full-service platform that streamlines the sale of used products by taking care of pricing, immediate pickup, studio photography, online listing and final delivery. The service supports both companies and consumers, with primary categories including electronics, appliances and furniture. Founded a year ago in São Carlos by Daniel Paredes, Diogo Suguimoto, Lucas Navarro and Vinicius Romani—who previously worked at GetNinjas, Uber and OLX Brasil—the startup has expanded operations to the city of São Paulo. The company reported more than R$500k in platform sales in 2021 and at times has maintained a waiting list due to high demand. Já Vendeu positions itself to make buying and selling used goods less cumbersome, more secure and more environmentally friendly, and plans to scale operations using external investor support.

    Pluggy provides Open Finance connectivity and data intelligence to allow businesses to access and use financial, banking and commercial data. The company closed a seed round of about R$10 million to accelerate product development and expand its data scope. It plans to build new connectors and machine‑learning models to simplify and democratize use of Open Finance for customers with limited analytical capability. Pluggy says it will invest most of the funding in growing its engineering and customer‑success teams to improve the product and experience for its more than 70 clients. The company was accelerated by Banco Central’s Lift Lab and by Y Combinator, and established a partnership with B3 in February 2022. Pluggy aims to become a principal hub of financial data intelligence in Brazil as Open Finance adoption grows. Pluggy offers API technology that allows fintechs and corporations to access customers' financial history and behavior to create competitive, personalized services while guaranteeing user privacy. Its platform supports use cases such as better credit offers, personal finance management, alternative credit scoring and tailored investment recommendations. The company positions itself to democratize access to financial data and reduce informational asymmetry as part of Brazil's transition to Open Finance. Pluggy was created in 2020 by Bruno Loiola, Rogério Correa and Victor Braga together with Federico Mirás and Gabriel Pan Gantes, bringing integration technology from Europe to Brazil. It has participated in accelerator programs including Oxigênio Aceleradora, Liga Ventures, Lift Lab (Banco Central) and Plug and Play. Pluggy reports a client portfolio of 12 customers and a team of 20 employees, and has contracts with clients such as Kinvo (recently acquired by BTG Pactual).
