- Deutsche Sanierungsberatung
Led · Series A · Jul 2026
Founded in 2024 and based in Berlin, dsb offers certified energy consulting where consultants collect building data to create a digital twin and an individual renovation roadmap (iSFP). The company reviews and handles subsidy applications through KfW and BAFA and coordinates implementation of measures such as solar panels, heat pumps, window replacement, and insulation via a network of vetted trades businesses. dsb says its process reduces the homeowner's time requirement by approximately 80%. Since founding it has tripled in size and now serves over 10,000 private customers and works with around 300 local skilled trades businesses. The company forecasts revenue exceeding €15 million for 2026. Planned product and go-to-market moves include launching a proprietary electricity tariff and expanding into the B2B market.
- Gridcog
Participated · Series A · Jul 2026
Gridcog builds energy modelling and simulation software used by businesses to plan and optimise decentralised clean energy projects. Its platform is already deployed by several global enterprises, including Shell, Greenvolt, Perth Airport, AGL and Ausnet Services. The company is Australian-founded and operates offices across the UK, Europe and Australia. Gridcog plans to use the $12.5 million Series A to deepen its technology platform and expand its commercial, customer and product teams. The company positions its software as significantly faster and more transparent than traditional spreadsheet-based modelling, aiming to support more bankable and accelerated energy transition projects.
- Greenpixie
Led · Series A · May 2026
Greenpixie provides sustainability intelligence for cloud and AI infrastructure, integrating with major cloud providers to enable IT teams to terminate unused 'zombie' resources, optimise resource use for specific purposes (including AI model workloads), and select lower-carbon regions. The company targets large enterprises and Fortune 1000 customers, citing Mastercard among its users, and claims to deliver significant savings in carbon, water and cloud spend. Greenpixie positions its product at the intersection of FinOps and GreenOps, offering real-time visibility to help enterprises reduce wasted cloud usage. The startup is UK-based and is scaling internationally; the recent £4.7M pre-Series A raise is intended to accelerate that global expansion. The company’s work is framed against growing cloud and AI demand and concerns over data centre energy consumption and wasted enterprise cloud spend.
- SPiNE
Participated · Series A · Apr 2026
SPiNE builds a middleware platform that serves as a central interface connecting energy suppliers, installers, grid operators, OEMs and HEMS systems to process energy data in real time and enable secure, grid-compliant control. The platform is intended to provide a scalable application layer and a network management system for monitoring and control of distributed assets. The company aims to have more than 20,000 households connected to its platform by 2027. SPiNE highlights a large market opportunity, citing an expectation of about 28 million Smart-Meter-Gateway installations in Germany by 2032, roughly 16 million with active control. The startup was founded in February 2024 by Ron Melz, Martin Stötzel and Thomas Müller and has just completed a €3 million Series A. The company is partnering with industry players through the DACH-wide Energy Launchpad initiative to accelerate deployment and scaling.
- Easelink
Led · Equity · Nov 2025
Graz-based Easelink has created Matrix Charging, which combines a floor-mounted charging pad with a retractable connector on the vehicle’s underside to form a low-loss conductive link for automated EV charging. Unlike inductive systems, the physical contact minimises energy losses while enabling hands-free operation. To accelerate adoption, the company founded the Matrix Charging Interest Group (MCIG) with Audi, Nissan and Voyah to push a global, ISO/IEC-aligned interface standard; Easelink will license its essential patents on FRAND terms. The consortium follows the blueprint of Bluetooth and NFC special-interest groups, coordinating validation, testing and certification of the interface. Easelink recently secured €11.5 million from the European Innovation Council specifically to fund standardisation work and intends to raise further venture capital for commercial roll-out. In October 2024, Austrian utility Verbund invested €1.5 million to support Easelink’s international expansion. The company is now focused on turning the technology into an industry standard while scaling commercial deployments.
