- Rokoko
Participated · Equity · Aug 2022
Rokoko produces motion-capture hardware (a suit and gloves) and an advanced motion-editing software suite that translates tracked movement into animator-ready character animations. Its tools are aimed at emerging indie creators as well as larger studios, making high-end mocap more accessible without specialized camera studios. The company reports more than 50,000 users worldwide, including some major industry names, though the majority are indie creators. Rokoko says it was profitable for the entirety of last year. Following a strategic investment from South Korean firm Naver Z, the company plans to expand its business into Asia and integrate with Naver Z’s Zepeto ecosystem to let animators monetize creations made with Rokoko’s tools.
- Tame
Led · Seed · May 2021
Tame began as a digital event suite for offline corporate events and in March 2020 pivoted to a highly customizable virtual events platform. Its platform is primarily used by enterprise customers for sales events and is sold to marketing or HR departments rather than large trade fairs. The pivot generated 700% organic revenue growth last year, achieved without sales or marketing. The company plans to use the new funding to scale headcount from 20 to 60 across Copenhagen, London, and Krakow, expand into the U.K., and grow revenues. Tame is led by CEO and co‑founder Jasenko Hadzic. Investors include VF Venture, byFounders, and three angel backers, reflecting local investor support for its expansion. Tame is a Copenhagen-based, design-driven SaaS built to solve the chaos of event planning by offering an all-in-one tool designed for teams. The product includes event program building, speaker contact and status management, and supplier, sponsor and exhibitor management. It supports team collaboration with shared file storage, notes, tasks and messaging. Tame also provides ticketing features with customizable ticketing pages and an API to integrate with other event technologies. The company operates a freemium model—free for free events and a fixed fee of €1 per paid ticket—and plans to introduce a premium monthly subscription as its primary business model. The startup launched public self sign-up last month to enable fast onboarding, and its founders say they have organised more than 30 large conferences and events.
- OrderYoyo
Led · Series A · Apr 2018
OrderYOYO builds a platform that lets restaurants manage online takeaway orders, customer engagement and support, and marketing, directly connecting food businesses with customers. The company is Danish and also has a base in London. It works with about 2,000 restaurants across the UK, Ireland, Denmark and Germany. OrderYOYO says it tripled revenue from 2016 to 2017. Lead investor VF Venture said it backed the company to help it expand internationally. OrderYoyo develops a freemium web and mobile ordering app plus a printer terminal to help restaurants reach and engage customers. The system is available on the web, iOS and Android and enables restaurant managers to communicate directly with regular customers and deliver offers and new menus. Led by CEO Thor Angelo, the company plans to use the new funds to continue developing the platform and to expand operations. OrderYoyo is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company recently raised approximately €2.48M in funding. The round was intended to support product development and operational expansion.
- Merus Audio
Participated · Series B · Mar 2015
Merus Audio develops audio amplifier ICs for a wide range of high-volume consumer electronics, using a proprietary topology that delivers ultra-high energy efficiency and compact single-chip solutions. Its technology combines a unique amplifier topology with advanced digital power management to minimize power losses and reduce the need for large components, enabling smaller, cooler, and better-performing amplifiers. In 2015 the company planned to release initial MA12040/MA12040P and MA12070/MA12070P amplifiers for mass production after more than a year of customer sampling and strong interest. The firm targets home audio products including sound bars, home theater and stereo systems and wireless speakers, and is preparing to expand into portable consumer segments. Merus Audio raised €2.2M in a Series B to accelerate go‑to‑market efforts and ramp to mass production. Management expects the investment and new investor support to drive quick growth over the next couple of years.
