- Superblock
Participated · Equity · Jul 2023
Superblock, based in Seoul, South Korea and led by founder Ben (Jae-Yun) Kim, builds products, developer tools and decentralized applications to grow the Over Protocol. Over Protocol is a new layer-1 blockchain built on a protocol called "Ethanos" that treats only active accounts as valid, letting full nodes discard obsolete data and operate with less storage. That design reduces storage requirements so that anyone can run a node and become a validator on a home PC. Superblock raised $8 million across two funding rounds and plans to use the funds to expand operations and accelerate development efforts. Investors in the rounds include SK, Netmarble, DSC, E&Investment, Schmidt, SpringCamp and NaverZ. The company emphasizes enabling broader decentralization by making node operation feasible for ordinary users.
- Rokoko
Led · Equity · Aug 2022
Rokoko produces motion-capture hardware (a suit and gloves) and an advanced motion-editing software suite that translates tracked movement into animator-ready character animations. Its tools are aimed at emerging indie creators as well as larger studios, making high-end mocap more accessible without specialized camera studios. The company reports more than 50,000 users worldwide, including some major industry names, though the majority are indie creators. Rokoko says it was profitable for the entirety of last year. Following a strategic investment from South Korean firm Naver Z, the company plans to expand its business into Asia and integrate with Naver Z’s Zepeto ecosystem to let animators monetize creations made with Rokoko’s tools.
- UModeler
Participated · Series A · May 2022
Tripolygon develops Unity-integrated 3D modeling tools (UModeler and UModeler X) that let metaverse creators produce buildings, props, items and avatars without learning complex standalone packages. The software installs into the Unity editor and is offered via subscription to Unity developers. Tripolygon says about 17,000 Unity developers use UModeler, with roughly 2,000 monthly active users. The company positioned its tools to make 3D asset creation accessible to programmers, game designers and VFX artists through familiar Unity UX/UI. Tripolygon partnered with Unity as a verified solutions partner, with Unity confirming UModeler’s SDK is optimized for the Unity editor. The startup plans to use recent funding to accelerate growth and expand its product reach.

The company plans to continue building the virtual world with Land NFTs and has a broader plan to develop IP businesses based on KlayCity’s original story. KlayCity completed a Land NFT presale on Feb 10 at 500 KLAY per NFT, and while actively traded on OpenSea a district (#684) reached 120,000 KLAY on Mar 11—240× the mint price. Led by CEO Jake Choi, the team intends to use the seed funds to further develop the platform and its virtual-world experiences. The company is based in Seoul, South Korea.
