- Oware
Participated · Seed · Apr 2022
Oware provides a network of connected warehouses combined with an online portal that manages inventory, tracks shipments in real time, and supplies digital proof of delivery. The company partners with third-party logistics providers and rents warehouse space so clients can rapidly start operations from locations closest to end customers. Its partners handle picking, packing and shipping while Oware’s portal gives visibility across multiple warehouses and logistics providers. Most customers are B2B market and retail companies seeking backend warehousing and last-mile transportation or dark store fulfillment. Oware currently operates 18 warehouses across five Pakistani cities, totaling 500,000 square feet, and says it can deliver same-day to 75% of the population and next-day to 85%. Part of the new funding will be used to increase its geographic coverage and expand service availability.
- Tazah Technologies
Participated · Seed · Oct 2021
Tazah operates a B2B marketplace and logistics service that sources, inspects and sorts fresh produce into buyer-specific categories (household, restaurants, retailers, French‑fry grade, etc.). Launched two months ago in Lahore by founders Abrar Bajwa and Mohsin Zaka (who met at Careem), the platform currently serves about 300 small- to medium-sized sellers and moves multiple truckloads of produce per day. It offers five main products — ginger, garlic, tomatoes, potatoes and onions — and reports a monthly retention rate of more than 80%, with most customers purchasing about four times a week. Tazah runs small fulfillment centers and partners with third‑party warehousing and trucking providers to keep costs low while shortening the supply chain to reduce waste. The company is building a data and analytics capability to help farmers plan crops and intends to add financing options for farmers after further procurement cycles and research. Part of the current funding will be used to expand its fulfillment center network across Lahore ahead of broader regional expansion.
- GrocerApp
Participated · Series A · Jun 2021
GrocerApp operates a low-price online supermarket in Pakistan, offering groceries, vegetables, beauty & wellness, household care, baby care, pet care, meats & seafood with doorstep delivery. Founded in 2016 by Ahmad Saeed, Hassaan Sadiq, and Rai Bilal, the company emphasizes customer experience and seamless order fulfilment. The founders previously played key roles scaling PakWheels and have rapidly expanded GrocerApp from Lahore into Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Between its $1.0M seed round and this Series A, the company reported a 300% increase in orders and revenue, with total annualized revenue exceeding US$15 million. Management states unit economics are sustainable and plans include expanding to additional strategic Pakistani cities and launching new online grocery initiatives. GrocerApp highlights its operational infrastructure for receiving orders, beginning fulfilment, and completing delivery to support daily customer growth. GrocerApp, founded in Lahore in 2016 by Ahmed Saeed, Hassaan Sadiq, and Bilal Zafar, operates an online grocery platform allowing customers to order groceries, fruits, vegetables and meat through web and mobile apps for same-day delivery. The company runs a pure-play model with its own inventory, fulfillment centers and an operations model that now relies on a network of freelance drivers. GrocerApp offers about 4,000 SKUs in Lahore and 1,500 SKUs on its app in Islamabad and Rawalpindi following recent expansion. It has recently achieved multi-fold growth and is currently growing at 20–30% month-over-month. The startup plans to use new funding to make its supply chain more efficient, automate processes to scale, and fuel further expansion. Management is exploring expansion to Karachi next year.
