- Seadronix
Participated · Series B · Mar 2025
Seadronix develops AI-powered autonomous ship navigation and port-management systems, including NAVISS, Rec-SEA, and AVISS. Founded in 2015 and based in Seoul, South Korea, the company builds situational-awareness AI trained on extensive real-world operational data. Its technology has received global recognition, including a CES 2024 Innovation Award, the world's first type approval from a classification society, and certifications from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. Seadronix participates in government-led programs such as the KRW 160 billion Autonomous Ship Technology Development Project and has secured international contracts in markets including Singapore and the Netherlands. The company says its proprietary systems could address about 75% of maritime accidents stemming from human error and environmental issues, including carbon dioxide leaks. Seadronix states its mission is to be an AI platform that ensures ocean safety and environmental protection. SoftBank Ventures Asia led a $5.8 million investment in the company, bringing total funding to date to $8.3 million. With the new funding, Seadronix plans to recruit more talent in AI, sensor fusion and navigation and to accelerate its global market penetration.
- XCENA(formerly MetisX)
Participated · Seed · Jan 2023
XCENA designs the MX1, a prototype chip that brings compute into the memory module via CXL to process data inside DRAM modules and reduce expensive round trips between CPUs, GPUs, and memory. The company says the approach handles preprocessing, KV cache management, and data caching within memory, potentially shrinking infrastructure needs (claiming workloads that once required 10 servers could run on one). XCENA’s cores are built on RISC-V and the company emphasizes vertical integration, designing its own memory hierarchy, interconnect bus, and DRAM controller. The startup was founded in 2022 by Jin Kim, Dohun Kim, and Harry Juhyun Kim and has offices in Pangyo and Sunnyvale with over 90 staff. XCENA positions itself against rivals like Astera Labs and Marvell and plans mass production at Samsung foundries by the end of 2026 with revenue expected to begin in 2027; to date it has raised $185 million.
- Standigm
Participated · Equity · Mar 2021
Standigm develops workflow AI technology that spans novel target identification, lead generation, and drug repurposing through proprietary platforms such as Standigm ASK™, Standigm BEST™, Standigm Insight™ and the automated DarkMolFactory™. The company says it can generate first-in-class lead compounds within seven months and currently runs 22 in-house or collaborative drug pipelines. The recent $10 million investment will be used for clinical research of AI-driven drug compounds to strengthen Standigm’s competitiveness in the global market.
