    Craif develops a urine analysis platform that combines proprietary biomarker detection and AI to assess disease risk, with cancer as its initial focus. Its flagship test, miSignal, is available at more than 2,500 medical institutions and 4,500 pharmacies in Japan, and the company has performed over 110,000 tests to date. Craif analyzes microRNA signals and has published more than 90 peer-reviewed papers and conference presentations, including two independent publications on early pancreatic cancer detection. The company is advancing a software-based medical device program targeting pancreatic cancer and plans a prospective clinical study in the U.S. from its San Diego laboratory. Craif opened its San Diego lab in April 2026, established a U.S. subsidiary in 2022, and is building clinical, regulatory, and commercial capabilities to support a reimbursement-driven U.S. launch.

The company is moving from proof-of-concept to full-scale rollout and is prioritising merchant expansion, product development, Snabomb deployment, and hiring. Snack Technologies has raised a total of ¥356M to date following the ¥222M pre-series A round. The startup is still pre-product-market-fit and faces adoption challenges among an ageing, analogue merchant base. The market opportunity sits within roughly 100,000 snack bars in Japan, a sector estimated to generate about ¥2 trillion in annual revenue.

Alpaca has expanded its regulated footprint through acquisitions, including an IFSCA-regulated broker-dealer and payment service provider in GIFT City and UK/European entities with passporting across the EEA, and has launched global equities access beginning with European equities. It has onboarded major global crypto exchanges and tokenization platforms, reported doubling revenue year-over-year for three consecutive years, and surpassed $1.5 billion in assets under custody for underlying stocks backing tokenized equities. Alpaca plans to use the new financing to accelerate its agent-first brokerage and API-first prime brokerage infrastructure to support tokenized markets and AI-native financial services.

    Turing develops fully autonomous driving technology originating in Japan. The company is scaling its computing infrastructure and commercial operations as it moves toward real-world deployment. In its Series A and extension rounds the company has raised a cumulative ¥27.89 billion (about $174 million), including ¥12.62 billion (about $79 million) in the recent extension. Turing plans to use the new funding to expand compute capacity, strengthen its business organization for deployment, and hire additional staff. The company’s stated goal is to accelerate realization of Japan-developed fully autonomous driving systems.
