Overview
Slip is a London-based receipt tech startup led by CEO and founder Tash Grossman. Its platform transforms receipts into a dynamic tool for engagement, insight, and growth, offering digital receipts that are convenient, sustainable, and rewarding. Slip's API integrates with retail systems and partners including Shopify, Klaviyo, Epos Now and Sitoo, feeding customer activity insights directly into partner CRMs and marketing technology stacks. The company reports its approach has driven more than 25,000 app downloads and has been rolled out across 400 stores. Its software is used by retailers including JD Sports and Beyond Retro. Slip raised £2.5M in seed funding and intends to use the proceeds to further enhance its technology. Slip is building a retailer-agnostic mobile app that lets users receive digital receipts via QR codes, view and manage omnichannel spending, and receive personalised discounts and content. The backend software supplies retailers with product-level data and insights to inform planning. The company emphasises sustainability and aims to eliminate harmful non-recyclable receipts. Founded in 2021 by Tash Grossman and Eddy Herman, Slip is backed by an advisory team with over a century of retail and IT experience at firms including Sainsbury’s, IBM, House of Fraser, Accenture, FARFETCH, John Lewis, Harrods and Arsenal FC. Grossman (Co-founder & CEO) is a Founder Institute graduate with a management consulting background; Herman leads product development with software and security experience from Darktrace and The Hut Group. The app is due to launch in the summer and the company will use funding to support product development and continued growth.
