  • Blab

    Led · Series B · Dec 2014

Blab is a Seattle-based technology company that offers a social intelligence platform capable of forecasting the trajectory of online conversations in real time. Much like Google indexes information and Facebook maps social connections, Blab creates a 'conversation graph' that surfaces emerging trends, topics, and media so brands can understand the contextual landscape surrounding their audiences. The software helps marketers determine exactly when, where, and how to engage with consumers, and is already used by Fortune 1000 companies as well as agencies such as Mindshare, Horizon Media, and Razorfish. Revenue or user figures were not disclosed, but the company’s traction with major enterprises underscores its commercial relevance. Following its latest financing, Blab plans to accelerate product development while expanding sales and marketing efforts. The round also brings new strategic guidance, as lead investors Blue Focus Communications Group and Shoreline Venture Management have taken seats on the board of directors. To date, the company has secured a total of $8.8 million of a targeted $11.6 million Series B raise, bolstering its financial position for continued growth.
