  • Wellumio

    Participated · Series A · Jul 2026

Wellumio develops a portable neuroimaging platform called Axana that uses patented PGFM (pulsed gradient–free mapping) technology to deliver rapid MRI-based stroke assessments at the point of care. The technology is designed to operate without contrast agents, cryogenics, or shielded rooms, enabling use in critical care settings. The company completed initial human feasibility trials and received a U.S. patent for its technology in December 2025. Wellumio is progressing toward regulatory approval and plans expanded clinical evaluation across additional sites and geographies. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Dr. Shieak Tzeng and is based in Wellington, New Zealand.

  • Linca

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2026

Linca is a spin-out from Mint Innovation that has developed a process for refining critical minerals—lithium, nickel and cobalt—recovered from end-of-life electric vehicle batteries. The company is leading a consortium with Jaguar Land Rover, LiBatt Recycling and WMG at the University of Warwick to demonstrate domestic refining capabilities in the UK. Linca has secured an £8.1 million APC26 UK grant alongside equity funding to support its formation and has completed a NZ$5 million first close of a seed round (expected to reach NZ$7 million) led by Motion Capital with participation from Icehouse Ventures, K1W1, Booster, Aspire and Enterprise Angels. The seed proceeds will be used to scale up the technology and construct a UK demonstration facility to prove the concept of domestic critical mineral refining. The spin-out officially launched after under three years of development within Mint Innovation.

  • Scentian Bio

    Participated · Series A · Apr 2026

Scentian Bio develops a palm-sized sensor-on-a-chip that combines insect-inspired sensing with AI to identify complex combinations of volatile organic compounds. The device aims to deliver near-real-time, easy-to-interpret results for use cases including food spoilage detection, air-quality monitoring, and the detection of explosives or pests. The company reports it is working with seven global leaders in food, beverages and condiments as it nears commercial launch. Cofounders Andrew Králíček and Jonathan Good envision the technology eventually migrating into consumer devices such as smartwatches and handsets. The startup is months away from market and has just raised $7M in a pre-Series A to support product completion and commercialization.

  • Mesh Security

    Led · Seed · Aug 2022

Mesh Security has developed what it calls the first Cybersecurity Mesh Architecture (CSMA) platform, acting as an execution layer that sits above and connects existing identity, endpoint, data, cloud, SaaS, network and CI/CD security tools. Operating without agents or rip-and-replace requirements, the platform consolidates visibility, context and control so security teams can move from manual, tool-specific operations to system-driven exposure elimination. Deployed in complex production environments, Mesh already integrates with leading security vendors such as SentinelOne and is used by enterprises like Paychex to identify and close critical security gaps. Gartner’s CSMA framework is driving board-level demand for this type of “platformization,” and Mesh aims to capitalize on that momentum. The newly raised capital will fund further development of autonomous, cross-domain remediation capabilities and expand sales and customer support. Headquartered in Palo Alto with operations in Tel Aviv, the company is focused on enabling security teams to execute rather than simply observe threats.

  • Apono

    Participated · Seed · Mar 2022

Apono delivers a Cloud Privileged Access Platform that replaces static permissions with Zero Standing Privilege (ZSP) controls based on just-in-time and just-enough-access models. Its engine validates every request in real time, allowing enterprises to grant and revoke permissions automatically across hybrid and multi-cloud environments without slowing developers or operations. The platform is positioned for an era in which human users and autonomous AI agents operate side by side, requiring context-aware, highly scalable identity governance. Over the past year, the company reports a fourfold increase in client count, and reference customers include Intel, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Monday.com. Apono plans to use new capital to accelerate AI-powered access intelligence, automate policy creation, and expand go-to-market efforts in the U.S. and additional international regions while scaling its engineering and sales teams. The November 2025 Series B brings its total funding to more than $54 million, underscoring growing enterprise demand for dynamic permissioning solutions.
