- Climatic
Participated · Seed · Feb 2026
Climatic is building a new consumer category around proactive, everyday lung care. Grounded in more than three years of research led by Chief Science Officer Dr. Dale Christensen of Duke University Medical Center, the company’s first product is L Max, a daily lung health system slated to launch in late spring 2026. In pre-clinical studies, a single dose of L Max improved mucus clearance by over 50% within minutes, with effects lasting eight hours, and the result has been replicated in more than ten independent tests. A five-week user study with endurance athletes showed 98% reporting easier breathing and an average 6% improvement in time trials, while 80% saw better heart-rate variability; a larger randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial is underway. Co-founded by CEO Eric Kau (former Seed Health COO) and CCO Allie Melnick (former Harry’s executive), Climatic has assembled advisors from Mayo Clinic, elite athletics, and leading consumer brands. The company plans to expand its portfolio into additional products addressing environmental health stressors. Climatic’s $10 million seed financing provides the capital to accelerate research, grow the team, and prepare for product launch.
- Mecka AI
Participated · Seed · Aug 2025
Mecka AI collects large-scale human motion data—including hand gestures and walking gaits—using custom hardware such as body sensors and everyday devices like iPhones to train embodied AI models for robots. The company began after its founders spent months studying robotics research and partnering with robotics labs to validate training robots on human data rather than teleoperation data. Mecka’s team designs custom equipment (including devices produced in Shenzhen) to capture human physical motions at scale. The startup says it has signed contracts that project an annual run rate of $100 million and currently employs about 40 people. Founders Josh Gao, Mogen Cheng, Jason Chong, and Duy Nguyen come from prior startups in payments and crypto, and the company has attracted investor interest including Framework Ventures and several institutional and angel backers. Investors describe Mecka as demonstrating strong early revenue growth, though the company declined to name customers or disclose its valuation.
