  • Belfort

    Participated · Seed · Sep 2025

Belfort is a spin-off from KU Leuven’s COSIC lab that develops purpose-built hardware to make fully encrypted computation feasible at scale. Its accelerator processes data while it remains encrypted, removing exposure risks to servers, cloud operators, or insiders and opening secure use cases in blockchain, finance, healthcare, and government. The product is already listed on AWS Marketplace and positions Belfort as the first company to commercialize dedicated silicon for encrypted compute. Seed funding will allow the company to double its headcount and expand enterprise pilots out of its San Francisco and Leuven offices. The founding team combines deep cryptographic research experience with industry backgrounds at Intel, Microsoft Research, Kraken Ventures, and Google[x]. Their technology stems from years of ERC-funded research and a competitive DARPA contract, underscoring strong technical defensibility. While revenue and user numbers were not disclosed, the $6 million seed round provides the runway to advance product development and early customer deployments.

  • Kira

    Led · Seed · Aug 2025

Kira offers an all-in-one payments infrastructure stack that combines stablecoins, AI-driven agents, and enterprise APIs to let enterprises and startups launch embedded fintech products (payments, remittances, savings, payroll, treasury). The platform includes AI-driven payments, treasury automation, compliance workflows, and global payouts to remove technical friction for clients. Kira operated in stealth for over a year while building its stack and is led by founders with prior fintech experience, including a founder of Arcus (acquired by Mastercard). The company reports $3 million in revenue in its first year. Kira plans to accelerate technical hiring and develop new fintech products while forming strategic partnerships with regional banks and payment processors. The funding announcement emphasizes an initial expansion focus across Latin America, starting in South America.

  • Veda

    Participated · Equity · Jun 2025

Veda operates a universal, modular, composable cross-chain vault infrastructure (the BoringVault framework) that enables developers and institutions to create vaults for use cases including liquid restaking tokens, yield-based stablecoins, savings accounts, and native chain yield. Since the BoringVault launch in March 2024 the standard has amassed over 100,000 users and powers yield strategies across wallets, chains, and protocols. The platform reports over $3.7 billion in total value locked (TVL) and more than 100,000 depositors. Veda emphasizes preserving self-custody, transparency, and security, and the company says its vault framework has a flawless security record. Founded in early 2024 by Sun Raghupathi (CEO), Joe Terrigno (CTO), and Stephanie Vaughan (COO), the team intends to deepen partnerships with institutions and fintechs. Veda plans to partner with a top-five global centralized exchange in the next month and will use the raise to accelerate DeFi adoption across established financial platforms.

  • Halliday

    Participated · Series A · Mar 2025

Halliday is building the Agentic Workflow Protocol (AWP), an AI-driven, no-code platform that aims to let developers build DeFi applications without writing smart contracts. The protocol's no-code blockchain automation is intended to shift development from smart contracts to AI-driven workflows, making blockchain development more accessible, scalable, and efficient. Halliday said it will use the Series A funding to accelerate development of AWP and advance its mission to "pioneer the software era of blockchain, enabling developers to build applications in hours, not years." The company positions AWP as a way for developers to "never write a smart contract again." Financially, Halliday raised a $20 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz's crypto arm following a $6 million seed round in 2022. The Series A included contributions from Avalanche Blizzard Fund, Credibly Neutral, and Alt Layer. Halliday builds a buy-now, pay-now-later-style financing product enabling gamers to pay for blockchain in-game assets over time. Founded last November by Akshay Malhotra (CEO) and Griffin Dunaif (CTO), the six-person team has developed smart contracts that wrap NFTs so users can use underlying objects while Halliday retains custody until payments are complete. The product is interest-free for users and does not charge penalty fees on default; instead Halliday repossesses control of the wrapped digital asset. The company plans to charge an initial fee to customers to cover costs but hopes to eliminate that fee over time. Average payment terms are expected to be around one to three months at launch. Halliday is launching a beta with League of Kingdoms in a few weeks and expects a full public launch shortly after while it continues to work on modeling risk tied to paying game developers upfront for assets.
