Founded in September 2025, Sonomind develops non-invasive ultrasound-based treatments aimed at neuropsychiatric conditions, notably treatment-resistant depression. The company plans to enter clinical studies to generate the evidence required for regulatory approvals and aims for CE marking and FDA clearance by 2029. - Ilion
Led · Seed · Mar 2026
Ilion Water Technologies is building a next-generation water desalination and purification platform that replaces energy-intensive, high-pressure systems with a patented, highly charged membrane that operates on just a few volts of electricity. The approach enables pressure-free, chemical-optimised filtration, promising lower costs and energy usage compared with traditional reverse-osmosis solutions. Fresh capital will fund the expansion of its team of scientists and engineers and support the company’s move from ENS-PSL research laboratories into industrial environments. Near-term plans include completing technological scale-up and launching field trials with industrial partners to validate robustness in real-world conditions. The company has secured €3.8 million to date, including €1.3 million in non-dilutive grants, providing runway for these milestones. No commercial revenue or user metrics were disclosed in the announcement.
