  • Zócalo Health

    Led · Series A · Apr 2026

Zócalo Health organizes care around community health workers (promotoras de salud) embedded in communities and integrates those teams with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, and care coordinators to drive sustained engagement for high-need members. Its model emphasizes proactive outreach, frequent touchpoints, and trust-based relationships to improve retention, reduce avoidable utilization, and address medical, behavioral, and social needs together. The company pairs its community workforce with a technology platform that leverages AI to extend frontline capacity, help members navigate coverage and eligibility, and support care coordination. Zócalo partners with Medicaid managed care organizations, including Anthem Blue Cross and Health Net, and aligns with state initiatives such as CalAIM in California. Operationally, the company reported roughly 4x year-over-year revenue growth and expanded from two health plan partnerships in 2024 to more than a dozen in 2025, while maintaining high member retention and patient satisfaction that exceed industry benchmarks. Zócalo plans to use new capital to scale geographically and grow its community-based teams. The company is based in Kenmore, Wash.

  • Manta AI

Manta is a next-generation AI platform that makes sophisticated data analysis radically accessible, allowing users to ask complex questions and receive defensible answers in minutes. The platform emphasizes agentic AI capabilities that autonomously clean data, explore datasets, test hypotheses, and surface insights. Manta targets public-serving organizations, including local governments and national nonprofits, to democratize data science for decision-makers. Recently Manta announced a $2M investment from Equal Opportunity Ventures to help scale its technology and expand access. Leadership describes the funding as enabling broader deployment of Manta’s tools to those who need them most.

  • Headroom

    Led · Equity · Aug 2022

Headroom builds an AI-powered videoconferencing platform that offers automatic transcripts, meeting summaries, full meeting replays, auto-generated highlight reels, AI upscaling and quick reactions. The product includes extensive analytics that quantify real-time meeting energy by analyzing video, audio and text, and it tracks eye movements and hand and head poses to surface sentiment and engagement. Headroom highlights privacy controls—analytics access is limited to invitees or users with permissions, data is stored in the cloud, users can request deletion, and the company is pursuing SOC 2 Type II certification. The company says it focuses on improving meetings for remote and hybrid teams and targets small- and medium-sized businesses rather than competing directly with mass-market platforms. Headroom has remained free since launch with no usage or storage caps, has around 5,000 users and 14 employees, and emphasizes growth over near-term profit. Headroom is a videoconferencing platform that applies computer vision and natural language processing to produce transcripts, call summaries with highlights, gesture recognition, and optimized video quality. The product hosts videoconferences and surfaces features like editable transcripts, replay-linked editing, and automatic summaries of key points. The team plans future additions such as processing supplementary presentation materials for highlights and further real‑time optimization of what pixels are sent on poor connections. The founders began building the product at the end of 2019 and emphasize designing for real‑time AI from the ground up. Headroom is launching a freemium service with a pilot waitlist for early users. Financially, the company raised a $5 million seed round, which closed in July.

  • Matidor.com

    Participated · Seed · May 2022

Matidor builds project management software purpose-built for fieldwork, offering a centralized, map-based interface that lets users pinpoint, track, update and resolve issues on job sites in real time. The founders—Vincent Lam (CEO) and Sean Huang (Head of Business Development)—drew on Lam’s prior experience as a technical lead at Google Earth and Huang’s entrepreneurial background to iterate the product through customer discovery. The company emphasizes real-time communication and a single source of truth to streamline complicated, project-specific field workflows. Matidor aims to set the standard for field service project management by powering operators and consultants in dynamic work environments.
