- Allonic
Participated · Seed · Feb 2026
Founded in 2021 and based in Budapest, Allonic is a robotics hardware company pioneering a proprietary 3D Tissue Braiding process that weaves soft-tissue-like fibres around skeletal cores to create fully integrated robotic limbs and bodies in a single automated step. By replacing assembly-heavy designs with continuous fabrication, the platform removes supply-chain complexity and cuts iteration cycles from weeks to minutes, allowing users to design, build and replace manipulators on demand. The system can embed multiple materials—including elastics, wiring and sensors—directly into the structure, producing safer, more compliant and customisable robots at lower cost. Allonic has already completed its first pilot in electronics manufacturing after unveiling the technology in May 2025, demonstrating applicability where traditional industrial robots fall short. The company plans to use new capital to accelerate platform development, grow its engineering and operations teams, and run further pilots and early commercial deployments with industrial partners. Its €6 million pre-Seed round is the largest such financing recorded in Hungary to date, underscoring investor conviction in its infrastructure-level approach to robotics. While no revenue figures have been disclosed, the early traction positions Allonic to address a growing gap between advanced AI control software and legacy hardware manufacturing.
- Chiral
Participated · Seed · Feb 2024
Founded in 2023 as an ETH Zurich and Empa spin-off, Zurich-based Chiral is building equipment systems and process technology that make nanomaterials manufacturable for cutting-edge semiconductor and quantum applications. Its core offering automates nanomaterial deposition and integration, providing precise process control that accelerates customers’ R&D and production timelines. The company has already delivered its first commercial equipment platform and reports that industrial and research customers are using it to speed development cycles. Recent work has focused on advancing automation and in-line process monitoring to ensure scalability and reliability. With fresh funding, Chiral plans to broaden its operational footprint, deepen product development, and expand customer support. While revenue and user numbers were not disclosed, the company’s progress from prototype to commercial system within two years underscores rapid execution. CEO Seoho Jung leads a multidisciplinary team combining materials science, engineering, and manufacturing expertise.
