- Daylight Energy
Participated · Equity · Oct 2025
Daylight Energy is building a decentralized fleet of rooftop solar arrays paired with home batteries, sold to homeowners through a monthly subscription that requires no initial payment. Once installed, each battery is aggregated into a virtual power resource, allowing the company to earn grid-service revenues during peak demand while still cutting customers’ utility bills. To make these cash flows transparent, Daylight has created DayFi, an on-chain protocol that links metered electricity output to tokenized claims and energy-backed payouts. Initial deployments are focused on Illinois and Massachusetts, markets selected for favorable interconnection rules and strong demand for resilience. Management believes its subscription can slash customer-acquisition costs that often exceed 60 % of traditional residential solar projects. A newly secured $75 million capital package—split between equity and a dedicated project facility—will fund installations and support the expansion of DayFi as the company scales its network.
- 375ai
Participated · Equity · Oct 2025
Founded in 2022, Los Angeles-based 375ai deploys AI-powered 375edge devices—combining HD cameras, audio and environmental sensors with NVIDIA Jetson compute—to process raw data locally and deliver structured intelligence in real time. Each device compresses roughly 1 TB of daily input into just 35 MB of usable insights, a 26,000× reduction that lowers bandwidth costs and preserves privacy. The network already observes 1.5 million vehicles per day through high-value sites obtained via a partnership with Outfront Media, serving customers in advertising, logistics, public safety and urban planning. Current live deployments span Los Angeles, with roll-outs underway in New York and Miami and international expansion slated for 2026. 375ai positions itself as core infrastructure for “physical AI,” enabling smarter mobility systems, safer streets and more efficient autonomous operations. The company is led by CEO Harry Dewhirst and a team with prior experience at Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet and other telecom and security firms. To date, the startup has raised $10 million in equity funding, including its latest $5 million infusion that will fund denser network coverage and continued product development.
- Phoenix Tailings
Participated · Series B · May 2025
Phoenix Tailings is developing the Freedom Facility, a fully integrated rare earth separation and metallization platform intended to produce both light and heavy rare earth metals from concentrates, recycled materials, and secondary sources. The company plans the facility to act as a midstream processing hub that can purchase output from mines and recyclers and supply materials to manufacturers and government entities. The project will use domestically controlled technology and intellectual property and aims to deliver cleaner, more efficient operations than conventional refining methods. Phoenix Tailings has targeted initial operations at the Freedom Facility for 2028. Financially, the company announced an approximately $1 billion financing initiative that includes a conditional $500 million long-term debt commitment from the U.S. Department of War’s Office of Strategic Capital to support construction and scaling of the facility.
- DeCharge
Participated · Seed · Mar 2025
DeCharge operates a decentralized, AI-powered energy network for EVs, fleets, and autonomous mobility, combining smart hardware, intelligent software, and scalable energy infrastructure. Its ecosystem includes high-speed DC chargers (VoltBox) for highways and community-driven deployments in urban hubs. The company uses H3 Spatial Indexing to target deployments in underserved regions. DeCharge plans to launch a fully tokenized DeCharge Energy Marketplace to enable participation by EV owners, businesses, and grid operators. It will scale tokenized incentives for charger hosts, fleet operators, and EV users to drive adoption. The company recently raised seed funding to support these product launches and geographic expansion.
