  • Rand App

    Participated · Series A · Apr 2023

Rand is a web3 neobank created as an alternative to traditional banking to give Gen Z and Millennials tools to manage and grow their savings. Its core products include Prize, which pools yields and redistributes them as prizes (up to €5,000, with 25% of users always receiving returns), and Earn, a savings account that pays a 5.00% annual yield with daily bonuses reflected in the interface. Rand uses AI to make its products more efficient and generates interest by providing liquidity to centralized and decentralized exchanges, then redistributing returns to users. The company has been approved by the Bank of Spain to operate as a crypto-asset service provider. Founder and CEO Pol Martín has been publicly highlighted (Forbes Spain 30under30, 2023). The new capital announced in the press release is intended to finance the company’s initial growth phase, enable a personal IBAN for each user, and support the launch and rollout of the Earn account. Rand is a fintech platform founded in 2021 that enables users—particularly young people—to create or join collective savings groups called “Partys” and compete for the yields generated by those pooled savings. Users lock euros that Rand converts into stablecoins to access decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and generate returns, which are then awarded by raffle to party winners while participants recover their principal. The app can be used without owning crypto through legally enabled external on‑ramps. Rand positions itself as a hybrid DeFi–fintech product that brings prize‑linked savings to Europe for the first time after similar models in the U.S. The company plans product rollout funded by its recent raise and intends to pursue a further token sale (ICO) to secure additional funding. Current financials disclosed in the article include a fresh €850,000 raise (split between equity and token issuance).
